Will there be additions to or another route based on this? Chicago has more railroads per square foot than any other place in the country and now that these good guys have done the huge job of modeling the city should we not have more?

Someone with more skills and time than myself (I'm lazy, I admit it) could probably re-use union station and nearby to make another metra route. That'd be cool.
I rode the UP-NW all the time though, so it has a special place in my heart. If C&SW productions made a historic version of the route, we could get CNW assets.
One can dream I guess. (Edit: Too bad though that it's Ogilvie and not Union Station)

The release of this route brought so much though in assets, which is fantastic!

Yes I would like that as well. Especially over the drawbridge and lift bridge that are visible when you enter Chicago Union Station yard throat.
Both of these are unfinished stubs, but you can at least drive over the lift bridge, the draw bridge leads to nothing.

Not long stretches of mainline per se, but rather inner city lines with lots of interchange yards and industries to switch.
I've asked Barnez, he said there were no current plans.

Is working cab signaling mandatory for freight trains? Do we have any BNSF freight locos with cab signals?

Take a deep breath. We would all be a long way from wondering about in cab signalling. I'm sure that Joseph is taking a big rest time after completing this masterpiece. Any of you who have not built a route have no clue as to the personal investment it takes to get one of these things to completion much less one of this complexity.

Actually Buzz I do appreciate the work done on this route. After finishing to C&O beta 5 from Tori. I put in about 400-500 hours mainly on scenery. The amount of variety of buildings on the Race Track is amazing. And of course the amount of track, etc. Vegitation is also excellent. I wonder how many hours went into creating this route?

As I've stated earlier, I'm doing a crappy job at extending the track down the Aurora Sub. As you can see in my signature below, the Aurora Sub is the route I called home which is why I'm beyond thrilled to have something that is very VERY close to this. I made my first Aurora Sub which is flatter than a pancake, and now that I actually realize there is the DEM thing, it's starting to be a little better, although I'm having problems importing some of the data at one point. I'll bring it up in another post somewhere. Regardless, the route itself is amazing, and I DID in fact get the Metra branding to work properly. It looks great! I appreciate the work you did for that. Just another touch of realism!

BNSF branding for those outside of USA. Are these identical to the USA player textures, just copied from the USA texture folder???

The folder they're to be copied to is . . . you guessed it: an AP folder into which nothing can be copied. Why isn't life fair, that's all I want to know. But, actually, I want to know why whoever's behind this Metra outfit won't accept the free publicity available from allowing train simulators see their logos. Somebody explain public relations to these folks, please?

Prof, doesn't the text file tell you to create a parallel folder structure into which the necessary files are to be copied, like Assets/Barnez/BNSFChicago/System/TexturesCMT and ../TexturesUSA? When the changed files are in their place, they take precendence over the default blanked out textures that reside in the BNSFChicagoAssetsSystem.ap file. Provided you put them in the exact same folder structure.

The easy thing to do is use the 7zip file manager and just unzip the System folder and then put the addons into there. Easy.

I decided to get it, and I was surprised that I could run it at 30+ FPS, considering all the detail!

Fantastic work to all who developed it, and I can't wait for repaints of the stock.

I agree. I did the West Chicago freight scenario and it told me I got zero points because of timeliness. I was within 2 mph between every movement and never went wrong anyplace and still no cigar.

There are several career scenarios for Metra; are you talking about the two All Stops to Aurora Scenarios? Maybe there's something wrong on your end, but when I ran them, I got at least 900 points on both:

The locomotive I use is also modded with my physics, so it's down-rated (slightly slower) from the original "fresh out of the box" locomotive you get upon initial DLC download.
