I gave in and am absolutely in love with this route! Best route I own! I love it!!! I'm already beginning to build the rest of the Aurora Sub. However, I was thrown off when I realized everything that is the Racetrack is about 200M up, so when you go far enough west, it just DROPS off to 0. So I'm trying to figure out what to do about that one. Regardless, this route looks amazing! A few of my best screenshots. Buzz, I've tried to install the Metra branding stuff, but I apparently didn't do something right. I'll tinker with it later. Everyone else's looks good so it must be just me !**duh*!!

Import DEM data in the 0 terrain areas to get everything nicely aligned.

Okay, I bought it. And I ran the first scenario, the switching job set in Cicero Yard. Nicely done: decent amount of AI traffic, logical switching activities.

Just one complaint: why can't route developers learn how to lay out a container crane yard? Okay, yes, the cranes are positioned correctly -- and that's already saying something, since so many routes have them misaligned with the tracks or turned in the wrong direction or, most likely, both. What's wrong here, however, is an almost universal and blatantly obvious error: as containers are loaded and unloaded, they appear from and disappear into thin air. I'm sure that real railroads would appreciate that luxury at times, but is makes no sense whatsoever and anyone who tested this scenario should have seen to it that containers were placed in the correct position near the crane so as to simulate the loading-unloading process correctly.

I'll see if I can get them into the library this weekend.

Thanks so much for this! It really makes a huge difference!

You know that you can fix this in five minutes or less right?

Of course I know that, Buzz, but why should I have to spend that proverbial five minutes (not to mention re-spending it every time I run an integrity check) after I've spent $39.99 to purchase the thing? If I buy something from a normal store I certainly don't expect to have to fix it after returning home, but that's exactly what happens with nearly every product RSC/DTG releases. Were this not true, a large percentage of this forum would not be necessary.

Hello guys. I'm not from the US, so I don't have a logo BNSF. Can anyone give the link to it. Thanks.

I'm not sure I know how to do this. Definitely would help though. I'll tinker and research and hopefully get something to come up. Thanks! *!!thnx!!*

Will there be additions to or another route based on this? Chicago has more railroads per square foot than any other place in the country and now that these good guys have done the huge job of modeling the city should we not have more?

Yes I would like that as well. Especially over the drawbridge and lift bridge that are visible when you enter Chicago Union Station yard throat.
Both of these are unfinished stubs, but you can at least drive over the lift bridge, the draw bridge leads to nothing.

Not long stretches of mainline per se, but rather inner city lines with lots of interchange yards and industries to switch.
I've asked Barnez, he said there were no current plans.

Is working cab signaling mandatory for freight trains? Do we have any BNSF freight locos with cab signals?

I feel much the same way about New York Penn Station, So yes, I really think more routes should have Chicago Union Station as their point of Origin as well. Hopefully, as Add-ons/extensions to The racetrack.
