Hamburg-Hanover: Making up SGGRSS Consists

Unread postby drivertime61 » Thu Aug 13, 2015 3:41 pm

So far, the fastest way I’ve discovered to make up consists using these wagons is to lay out a bunch of A units with spaces in between, then filling up the spaces with B units, then connecting all the AB sets to each other.

Is there a better way to do this? I’m thinking in terms of perhaps some magical key click that would generate an AB unit already assembled, so that making up a train would be as fast as it is with standard wagons. Or some other method. I don't see driveable AB pairs in the editor. I do know about the 2D static consists/scenery items available.

I am saving the made up consists, with varying lengths and loads, for future use on the route. Just looking for a quicker way to make them.

Thanks.

Make an AB consist then just keep adding them to your train.

I did the same with the G-Trax articulated well cars: create one consist using the QuickDrive editor.
Then open the PlayerConsist.bin file in RW_Tools and copy paste the selected articulated set the required number of times to get the desired length of your train. Upon restarting the game, the new consists are available for selection.

You probably won't get individual cars in a set having the same number and appropriate A,B,C,D, or E suffix.

The consist fragments will show up in the scenario editor window.
