This looks like a great operation to make a route out of! I wonder if it will be available to international users because of the BNSF content.

I was excited when I saw this until i saw those four letters, BNSF...hopefully those of us outside the US will be able to buy this! On the plus side the image doesn't actually say BNSF, so maybe that will be left out or a separate add-on.

Well, if the track is owned by BNSF (ex Santa Fe or Burlington Route?) but the stations and trains aren't, how can they object when their trademarks aren't displayed?

Nice new addition. USA commuter railroad, something new. Complicated trackwork and signalling at the many junctions in and around Chicago.

Are those "gallery cars"?

I was excited to finally see this too!

The route will be available worldwide.

With the current status of the BNSF license, the route will be branded (BNSF) in the USA, and will be unbranded elsewhere.

Let me give you a virtualbeer my friend. !*cheers*! !!*ok*!! **!!bow!!** I have been waiting SO long for this day. I am so hyped right now! But question, so from your post your saying that the equipment will say Metra for the people in the US but not overseas? Either way I'm stoked and can't wait to see more pictures.

One would think assuming that DTG has a deal with Metra that they can use that name world wide and it would be up to the community to add any BNSF activity.

Interesting that it's a partner program route. Also it appears to be using scale rail.

YES FINALLY!! I know alot of railfans in Chicago who play TS 2015 and they will be happy to hear about this route!
I dont live in Chicago but does Metra run trains one more than one line or is it different lines aswell?
Also are we likely to run BNSF trains on this route prototypically?

And the not-so-great part *!rolleyes!*

The result of months of negotiation with Metra ( **!!bang!!** ) was that their attorney determined that official licensing is not allowed. !*not-ok*!

To their credit, DTG put a lot of effort into the pursuit of the license. This was not a case of DTG disregarding the US market.

However - the route will have to ship with blank commuter equipment as shown in the marketing photo.

Attorneys make everything better, right? ... right? ... guys? !**duh*!!
