Moving Scenarios to Cloned Route?

Unread postby wacampbell » Wed Jul 08, 2015 8:35 am

I have a cloned version of the RW&A route that I use for experimenting etc. It seems if I copy a scenario from the original route to my clone, the scenario doesn't get listed in my clone's scenario menu. Is there a way to resolve this. Or in other words can scenarios, meant for an original route, be used on a clone?

When you clone a route, in the pop-up window where you re-name the cloned route there is a small box you check if you want the scenarios cloned along with the route. This will give you an exact copy of the original route and all of its original scenarios. You should then see the scenarios listed under the cloned route's new name in both the Drive and Build menus.

Don't feel bad. I missed that box the first time I cloned a route and manually copied all the scenarios over. Took a lifetime - or so it seemed. Never again!

I'm not sure Wayne. I know I've been able to manually copy scenarios from Marias Pass and Pacific Surfliner to Marc's ScaleRail copies with success. I've really only done it a couple times because it's a drag to have to track down what folder contains the route I want. I'm not sure if a certain type of route editing may disturb the scenario file? Obviously track changes would cause problems but I don't know if that would cause the scenario to vanish or 'ghost' in the cloned route's list. Hopefully someone else knows more.

The RWA scenery upgrade is top notch! !!*ok*!!
