Thanks, I'll give it a look. I used to travel, a lot, thru New England and was fortunate to see many of the things that you are recreating. My job affording me free time to "railfan" , if that's what its still called. Took a lot of pictures (back then, 35mm, early-mid 70's) most of which, unfortunately, gone or lost. Anyway, looking forward to operating your Route!

Hi Rick,

Really enjoying driving around the route so far. Super work!

A quick question regarding the included CV free roam scenario:

What / where are the referenced 40' PS-1 boxcar repaints that should be in the following directories?
VNHRR\Springfield\RailVehicles\Freight\40ft-xm-ps1-red\40ft-ps1_nh30000_brown2.bin
VNHRR\Springfield\RailVehicles\Freight\40ft-xm-ps1-red\40ft-ps1_nh30000_McG-r4.bin

These are used in the free roam consists but I can't figure out where they come from. The aren't in VNHRR or the other listed dependencies for the route.

Thanks again!

And where is the RS1 that you must have to load the WV locomotive? I searched RS1, RS-1, and Frisco and came up empty.

Not 100% sure about this one...I have done a repaint of one of the VNHRR boxcars but when I swept the route before packaging I didn't see it and I don't recall placing it but I will take a look when I get home from work! If it is in the route I will package the repaint and send it to you so you can play the scenario before the next file library update

Thanks Rick!

I can certainly replace those in the consist using RW Tools. Just didn't know if I was missing something obvious as I couldn't find them.

Just did a sweep and I couldn't find it anywhere, but here's the freight car that is apparently missing, hopefully this solves the problem! I tried not to use any more repaints than necessary in the scenarios for the sake of ease but maybe its hiding out somewhere. If it works I'll upload the car this weekend so others can correct the issue. Don't forget to transfer the .geopcdx files!

Hi Rick,

The extra PS-1 repaint file you provided did the trick!

One further suggestion: Consider adding Michael's B&O Caboose to your route dependency list. It's required for the WV Caboose repaint that you have in that same free roam scenario.

Thanks Again,
Diego

I have to admit, I had similar problems with some of the stock required to run free roams provided. Instead of getting frustrated, I made my own little scenario and toured the route. *!embar*! It is really a sensational route. Thank you for all your efforts Rick !!*ok*!! !*brav*! !!howdy!!

I do apologize for the rolling stock issues, but I am thankful they are for the most part easily fixable and the only real problems the route has so far! I thank you all for your support and enthusiastic responses **!!bow!!**

Rick

OT. It appears that the single track Main Line is protected by single blade train order semaphore signal at the stations. They all appear to be set to absolute stop. Meaning, if I understand correctly, that the engineer must stop completely to receive the dispatcher's orders before proceeding or pick up passengers that are awaiting at the station. But I can easily drive through to the next block without having to stop. Am I violating the rules when I do this?

I don't believe so, if you are talking about the free roam scenarios, stopping is up to the player. As far as the standard scenario is concerned, stopping is not required as it is a non-stop local from Waterton to Fraser. Signalling was never my strong point, and I'm not actually sure if one can change the status of a semaphore manually in the editor. Absolute stop was the default when I placed the semaphores so I left them as they were!

Rick

Let me prefix my question that I have no experience using the World Editor. But how difficult would it be to substitute (swap out) each train order single blade semaphore signal on the Central Vermont route with one of GreatNortherner's a bi-directional train order single blade semaphore signal that is part of the "TrainOrder-01.zip" scenary objects on his GAoR website?
