Santa Fe SD40-2?

Unread postby JohnS » Sun May 24, 2015 5:30 pm

Why was there never a repaint of the default SD40-2 with nose headlight and ditchlights into the Santa Fe blue and yellow worbonnet scheme? With the cajon pass and now the pacific surliner routes I figured this would have been done a long time ago.

Like this one?

If my memory serves me right, the SD40-2s came in the ATSF SD40-2 DLC, which was taken down some time ago.

That would be what I was looking for. Always late to the show. Why would they take something like this down?

They should put this and the old BN SD40-2 in the Marketplace.

If you have the Pacific Surfliner the BN units are there and pickable.

But a Blue and Yellow warbonnet hauling 89's loaded with trailers should be in Websters under the definition of trains... **!!2cents!!** Especially with an SD40 or some big 6 axle U boats with pushers taking the Tehachapi pass.

I want to see a ATSF Yellow Bonnet GP38 or GP40. I would love to run those with the ATSF SD40-2's for some mainline Intermodel.
