My family has a cabin about 100 yards from the CN mainline about 20 miles northwest of Kenora, will that be included? *!lol!*

In all seriousness though, very cool. My dad is from Winnipeg and his brothers live there so I've been there about a hundred times, my aunt was yardmaster at Symington for several years.

Here are some links to videos I made of the route. I did the scenery work but Krellnut did all of the beautiful track work. https://youtu.be/0q6rWw2GYQk https://youtu.be/kRTObMkU10Y https://youtu.be/ZyeKf21zYt0 https://youtu.be/0jUeZgJ8dsA https://youtu.be/TgxCbnZWSe4

The longer they are the more they take up so you may want to just make short ones to designate sidings and let people add their own markers in scenarios. AI people on platforms also go in the tracks.bin.

As a scenario maker, I'll definitely second Bob's recommendation about siding markers. They are necessary for communicating the names (reality-based or fictional) of sidings to scenario makers, but keep please keep them (the markers, not their names) as short as possible. On double-ended sidings, please place them as close as possible to the switch at one end; for stub sidings, please locate them at the stub end. In a large yard, only enough markers are needed to make division names clear. The VNHRR provides excellent examples.

Thanks!

Just wondering what website you got your DEM data from I haven't had any luck with getting it into the game from the websites I used. I was just going to play around with the CP La Rivière and Napinka subs since I worked for BTRC between Manitou and Morden and I live in Boissevain. Since I know them I figured they would be easy to try and learn route building.

Looks really good....

I wish I knew how to make a model for this game. One that wouldnt look like a dogs breakfast. I would love to build some CP Expressway flats for the route.

...Despite the fact that they will never go west of Milton, Ontario. But they would still look right at home behind a CP engine on that route!

This is how big the route got before the tracks bin would accept no more;32mb's. That's Regina on the left, Winnipeg in the middle with Thunder Bay on the right.Around 2500 miles of track there. It could be decorated, but without any track items. Anyone with suggestions, let us know.

As I said a long time ago, I'd be happy with a detailed and complete rendition of Thunder Bay.
The switching alone would keep me busy.

I watched your videos. Only a route builder would take shots like that!
The scale and the expanse of the scenery like that is a challenge and absolutely critical to convey the sense of place.
