Blueprint Editor2 Question

Unread postby dogrokket » Thu Apr 02, 2015 8:17 pm

Hi guys, I just migrated my source files from an old computer to a new one and started using the new Blueprint editor that comes with TS2015. I'm experiencing some errors that I am not familiar with. When I attempt to export an igs file, the BP editor says that the conversion programs and .dll s are not installed on my computer. They are installed in the railworks folder. Do I need to change a path in settings, or do I need to copy these conversion utilities to my source or asset folder? I am running the BP editor as administrator.

What's your operating system? I seem to remember some folks reporting issues with BPE2 on XP.

If not that, then get Steam to verify your files. BPE2 is fairly robust and if not working, it could be a file problem.

Windows 8. How do you do the verify? Like clear cache? I'm not familiar...

To verify the game files thru Steam, open Steam and go to Libraries. Right click on Train Simulator 2015, choose Properties, Local Files tab, Verify Local cache. This could take a while depending on the size of your Railworks install. Warning! Any modified files in TS2015 will be reverted back to their original selves (unless they are a separate file from the original with a different file name).

Thanks Chris, I'm verifying as I type. You are correct- it does take a while. I will report back...

Ooookay. It said that I had 1045 files missing and they will be re-acquired. !**conf**! Not sure what that entails, and it seems that nothing is happening. The game starts normally though.

>>Resolved<<
Even after a seemingly failed attempt to verify, I stopped getting the missing converter messages. As far as the other problems, I had tweaked the folder structure in my source folder and had to go through all the BP xml's and redirect the render component. Now I'm exporting away! !!*ok*!! !!*ok*!!

Thanks!
