One of the best ways to add an image to a post is to set up an account with Photobucket, or one of the other image hosting sites. Some folks will suggest ImageShack but I don't like that site because it tends to try and place a cookie on everyone's hard drive for every image posted. Not that big of a problem for me as I manage every cookie that comes my way (most are blocked). It just ticks me off that they do that.

Anyway, upload your images to Photobucket (details o how to post images on a forum are found at Photobucket) and use the Img BBCode button at the top of the text box when you're typing your message to post and place the link to your image in between the [img] tags.

For the sake of visitor connection speed, convert the png file format that is default for RW to a jpg format. png's are pretty big files and those on slower connections will have to wait while those things load in the post.

Just to add to what Hawk has said here, .PNG files are usually twice the size of a jpg sometimes even more than double. Converting to jpg doe not lose any of the picture details or resolution. In my experince it isnt just slow connections ( as my connection is pretty fast ) and I struggle with PNG screenshots !*not-ok*!

If unsure how to do it the easiest way to do it straight to jpg would be to hit the print screen button when playing the game, pause it and return to your desktop. Open Paint and ctrl v the screenshot into paint and save it as a jpg !!*ok*!!

Hope it helps

Mark !*salute*!
My scenarios are short, but they leave plenty of room for scope. Time to stretch to other routes I think

Bart, what I use to grab screen shots in game is a program called FRAPS. The free version works great. Then upload to the free version of Photo Bucket, do as Hawk suggests and link to the pic on the PB site. !!*ok*!!

You can also make a screeshot ingame with railworks and it won't show the menus and all that stuff. Pretty easy and comfortable.

This technique will save the screenshot as a huge png file. It's best to convert it to a jpg. *!!wink!!*

Ah now I see what's the problem.
The Dash9 repaints by Michel Zimmer have no dynamic numbering. This means every engine has its own constant number.
If you change the number, the textures will fail.

They have NO dynamic numbering. So you can't remove it.
You could add numbers, but I don't know how to do it. I had a talk with Mr. Zimmer about this numbering and he said that dynamic numbering wasn't possible because then the numbers aren't in UP/SP style.

So then there is no way to run the engines without the missing texture sign over the original numbers?

Hmm, very strange.
Normally if you select the engine from the list it should be automatically placed with the respective number.
You should control the engine number which is in the right flyout which appears when you doubleclick the engine.
It should be the same number that is stated in the engine list.

I think I figured it out. I think when I switch the engine using RW tools, it automatically switches the engine number. I guess I need to figure out how to keep RW tools from doing that. AArrghhh. **!!bang!!**
