API Key lost again

A steam update has caused the loss of the API key for Google Earth. Is this going to happen everytime there is a game update? I would like to know if others are having this problem. It would not such an issue,if we could copy and paste the key,but as you know,we can not.

I have had my same key for awhile now, even through updates. Perhaps maybe your key expired?

I haven't updated my API in nearly a year. Interestingly, the last time I updated it was due to a Steam/RSC update blowing out the previous key.

I had to get a new key in December,when I realized GE was not working. I had a previous thread with the frustration of the process. With the last update,the API entry was empty. I may just get a 3rd key,as the last one had so many zeros and letter O's,it is trial and error to figure out which is which,to get it to work.

And some are always trashing DTG. Let's save a little trash talk for Google for making these keys so we don't know whether it's a O or a 0.

I have it working again....by entering my 15 month old API key. But I swear the resolution looks lower and yes,I checked the higher res box in the Google Earth tools screen. Am I going to have to go back to RW Decal? I hope someone is reporting this to DTG. This puts quite a crimp in route building.
