Hear! Hear!

All this griping was enough to prompt me go out and buy the route. I came here to run trains, having worked in train service on a short line, and having done field inspections on parts of the NEC with a subsequent employer, watching the pros running in the Big League, under the same rulebook I qualified under. DTG have been aggressive at supporting their product, particularly over the past couple of years. I'm impressed with a continually improving platform generally, that is well beyond what I'd dared hope for in the early days of MSTS, over a decade and a half ago. We live in an imperfect world, and even the best work is never beyond improvement. At least from where I sit, the situation a whole lot better than it was, and is being deliberately and continually improved by a handful of developers who are continually pushing the envelope. It's a pleasant change from a lot of what I see much of the rest of the world.

I'm with you sir. Most of the bugs on here nowadays are self inflicted. This thing is a pretty solid platform today and a huge improvement on where we were even a couple of years ago.

What does this have to do with the route?

I had this happen a time or two on my previous system. I was running XP with the bare minimum of RAM and a video card that couldn't quite keep up with what I was demanding of it. A cold reboot usually solved the problem for a few hours. A new system - not an unreasonable choice, give that the old one was a mid-range system when I'd bought it almost seven years earlier - solved the problem permanently.

It mentions of the Train Sinulator game engine is worthy. I wonder how has experienced TS crashing on the Miami Route.

I bet I have been on that route for close to ten hours and NO crashes. But then I haven't had a crash in RW in months except one on the new Alaska route so it isn't the game engine.

Comparison of the P42s:

New P42 on the Right. (P32 as which the whiny rivet counters have repeatedly made us very much aware of.)
Old P42 on the Left.

All posts not related to or about the Miami Route will be deleted from now on. If you want to wander off about something that has nothing to do with this route do it somewhere else or start a new thread or this will be locked.

Has anyone tried using the LA/SD commuter packages on this route?

I did, in a quick drive scenario, just to see whether it worked. It did, with no apparent issues.

Guys? I'm amazed how they've made such a nice route duplicated how I remember the exact street at the exact locations for the Tri-rail and CSX going through. I love it!!! !*YAAA*!

With the help of Bob's excellent tutorials I made my first scenario. Here a CSX local freight is preparing to crossover to track 2, but pauses at the "reds" to let a priorty northbound Tri-Rail train highball through to its last stop at Mangonia Park. Having too much fun on this route! !!*ok*!!
