F7 Milwaukee Repaints

Unread postby windberg » Sat Dec 06, 2014 6:11 am

First a big thank you very much for this repaints! **!!bow!!** I am a Milwaukee Road fan and I am very happy that we have a Milwaukee F7 now. But I have a problem with the clean repaint (I did not try the weathered one). I casn not go inside the loco and drive the loco from the cab. Has anyone the same problem? I installed the loco with the attached batch file.

I assume you have some other third party F7s? Are they OK? I just looked at the bin file and it's looking for the default cabview. There seems to be only one cabview at least in my setup and it is in the F7 folder.

I tried the Chicago & North Western F7. All works fine. If I press F1 at the Milwaukee repaint nothing happens.

Ups, sorry, I pressed 1 and nothing happened. (I should not fly Il-2 in the meantime.-)

Il-2 is a ww2 combat flight simulator, and not one I'm very good at. ;)

I tried the weathered version too with the same result. No way to switch in the cab of the F7. There are also small texture problems. I add a picture.

Yes, Il-2 is a old but still good WW2 combat flight Simulator which covers the Russian and the Pacific fronts.

What texture problems are you talking about? If you are talking about bright spots on the stairs that is what it's supposed to be. Look at my pictures. I really wish I could help you on the in cab view however there have been 80 some F?L and no one else has said they have had any problems so I don't know what to suggest to fix your problem. I have never had this problem. I have had where when you got there something didn't look right but never where it wouldn't go into the cab view. Have you tried going there with the HUD button? Does the head out view work with the HUD?

Thanks for all your hints buzz. Nothing works at my computer. What a pity because I am a Milwaukee fan. It looks like I am the only one with problems. If I find more time I will go into my railworks installation and search for the problem in detail.

Sorry to dig this back up but I just installed the weathered version and had missing textures for the numbers. I dug into the bin file and discovered I needed to have the clean version installed first. While I was there, I also noticed that you referenced the NERWCabviews and NERWLights folders several times. I have these folders so I can get into the cab with no problems but I was wondering if this may be the problem for Andreas. I looked in the NERW F7 rwp but these folders weren't installed then. I don't remember where they came from.

Any ideas Buzz? !*don-know!*

The mod for that is on the NERW page under utilities. I will write a new bin file this morning to get the cab view back to the stock one for those who need that fix.
Here's the link to that mod.

Here is a bin file that should use the default cab view. If that works OK for those that choose to go that way I'll do one for the weathered locomotive as well. I also changed the horn back to the default sound.

Thank you very much buzz and slick! The clean version works well now. The weathered NC version does not work but I do not know if this version is driveable.

If you would be so kind as to tell me which fix you used I could advise you what next. Yes the weathered one is drivable.
