Is there a child entry that I must modify or a missing entry I must add to alleviate the problem? *!question!*

I don't have the Cab Forward, but I've noticed that lately with my diesels, ie no exhaust smoke on trailing units.
Some of the other emitters on the steam engines aren't working, like the cylinder cocks on the Challenger.
All things that happened after the update to 2015.

You might try switching cabs (I don't remember what key combination it is) and see if the loco/ engine is running. I've had that happen on several routes with different loco's/ engines that I threw together in a Custom Quick Drive, before the latest update.

I'm looking into, as time permits, causes of smoke emitter problems after the 2015 update. Mostly wrecking a lot of steam engines. Also noticed that my SD45 smoke got blocky looking. This led me to trying different smoke textures from other locos.
So far....
I'm leaning towards the particles folder of said infected locos. This is where I believe the trouble starts. **!!2cents!!** Please. Anyone can jump in and fix this issue.

I'm not quite sure what you are referring to. Be aware that if you are using the 3D sky new thingy that it has been pointed out that there is a huge wind at ground level causing a lot of smoke to go goofy. Make sure that is not your problem. I have been not using it a lot for that reason.

3D weather doesn't have anything to do with this Buzz. It's affecting the locos in question, even when driving old scenarios with old weather types.
I'm wondering where these emitters are at in the file system. The reason I'm asking is because I've already determined that old backups from the Assets folders, won't fix any of the problems.
I've even copied the engines in question from TS2015, over to my backup of TS2014 and they run fine with that game engine.
Note: I've done that with the diesels not a steam engine yet...

OK well the K4 double headed has the same smoke plume as does the G-Trax locomotives. There is some smoke coming out of the cab forward just not as much from the second locomotive. I haven't had a chance to mess with the Challenger yet but I do know that now it doesn't have any cylinder ** steam.

Well that settles that in a hurry.

I think it's even cycling the stoker on and off on the second locomotive.

Big Boy is functioning properly with the exception of the wimpy cylinder cocks which I think it has always had. Auto stoker is working on the second locomotive here also. Off to turkey coma.
!*cheers*!

Before you eat too much Buzz. Does your BB's headlight work? That's another thing messed up on mine after update. !**conf**!
And yes. I know about the 3D weather bug. I find myself not using it much with too many scenarios. Depends on the locos I'm using.

When TS2014 changed to TS2015, the sand and spark particles disappeared completely from the FEF-3. I can't remember exactly what it was that I had to change to make them reappear, but it might have been the roll-off rate, changing it from 1 to 0. I also had to decrease the "Emission rate" value (btw, "rate" is a poor choice of name. like a lot of things in the blueprints, because it's not actually a rate, it's more like the interval between individual particles - the lower the value, the higher the rate of emission) and change several other things. Of course, that still leaves that awful wind speed bug that is still seriously messing up all my carefully crafted emitters (the Consolidation is totally screwed up now).

I'm going to play around with this a little, Mike. What you're saying. By the way. The FEF seams OK for the most part using any weather, other than, the 3D. But not always. Just sayin.... !*don-know!*

Depends on your definition of OK ... the only one that still looks OKish to me is "0. Default" and it's still not as good as in TS2014.
