So do i just make a new video named reinstall then add railworks inside of it?

Then add all the mods to it?

Just do what it says in the PDF file.

It doesn't matter. In the reinstall folder is a good place. That's what it says in the PDF file too.

Here is a simpler version of the instructions:

1- Create a folder on your C drive named "#REINSTALL"
2- Creat a folder inside the #REINSTALL folder. Name it "railworks"
3- Extract the 3 files from the "Reinstall Mods v1.zip" file you downloaded from this thread, to the #REINSTALL folder.
4- Install your mods in the new "railworks" folder. The PDF explains how to do that, it depends on the type of packaging for the mod.
I suggest you do as he says in the pdf, it is very simple to just extract (or copy) the files from the packages to your folder.
- when the mod comes in a ZIP file and contains RW_AssetSetup.exe and its own "railworks" folder, just copy the "railworks" folder from the ZIP file to your #REINSTALL folder. It will get added to your already existing files.
- when the mod comes in a RWP file, rename it to ZIP and do the same.

You don't add it to the rwp file, you add it to the correct folder in your #REINSTALL folder.

The railworks folder inside the #reinstall folder.

Think of it this way:
- everything inside your C:\Program Files(x386)\Steam\Steamapps\Common\Railworks folder is the official (default, vanilla) TS2014 game. Consider any change you make to be temporary, because you can't control it.

- everything inside the #reinstall folder is stuff that you want to add, or to change, in your TS2014. This is what makes the difference between your TS2014 and my TS 2014.

The script just applies your changes to the vanilla TS2014.

I was running into a weird issue with this script (Access Denied) even while using "Run as Administrator" on my Windows 7 machine

Switching to the following Robocopy command seems to work though -

ROBOCOPY %REI%\railworks\ %RW% *.* /S /IS /NFL /NDL

Sorry for the the thread revival, but has the new GUI that was being worked on with the programmer and the Machinist ever come to fruition? That would be great reading this whole thread from page one really was nice to see that bond develop.

Man that sad, I understand TS2015 has its shortcomings but to lose such a knowledgeable person, as if TS2015 didn't have enough roadblocks in the first place...

I guess what I meant was it's too bad we had to lose him or rather he replaced Railworks with Run 8. I get they both have their pros and cons, its too bad that Railworks cant be the best of both worlds, which little by little I think is happening with that many great contributions here on this site along with the knowledgeable people that are with it.

I know just one month ago I did not even know how to un-pack an .ap. Now I'm changing physics, replacing horns and bells, heck even creating my own start loop and end .wavs for the Surfliner!

I could not have done without many peoples help here, Buzz you were one of those great people and I thank you.

Yes our whole as a community is certainly more than the sum of its parts.

Honestly the proposed GUI added nothing interesting to this system.

In the light of the upcoming RW2016. Is this application still relevant for RW2015 set -ups?
