Meanwhile, I'm over here waiting for the N-Scale 844 to destroy my wallet. And people wonder why I don't own any live steam stuff. . .

I guess this year will be 844-Tastic.

!*roll-laugh*! I can hear the screams of rage from those that HAVE read the manuals and still cant get it to move (that will most likely include me *!lol!* ) Read Mike's interview over on Engine-Driver fo a small insight into what we are about to get. 7000 code lines of engine scripting, just amazing. Just hope we can do it justice....

!*cheers*!

Based on those two videos, my favorite moving part is the swaying whistle chain knob and my favorite feature will be "simple mode" -- let the automatons do the work while I sit back and watch! !*cheers*!

I'm glad you appreciate the work I put in to make Simple mode work *!!wink!!*

Just make sure you select a HUD version and turn off the game's auto fireman from the menu - that'll ensure that it doesn't interfere with my own scripted, expert auto-fireman.

I love the swinging whistle too - I believe it's a first for TS :D

P.S. Wheelslip still works even in Simple mode, so you'll have some fun with that (try a QD in winter).

I hope it doesn't cost extra to keep replacing the tires from doing too many burnouts! !*roll-laugh*! oo-OOOO-oo>

Have you ever tried the A2A aircraft in FS9? I was tempted to add in something like they do with remembering wear and tear between flights (scenarios in our case) based on how the aircraft (loco) is handled, and having to pay for maintenance and repairs before starting another flight.

Maybe next time !*roll-laugh*!
