And yet another update came in. I'm back to to v48.0a it seems?

It is not a bug that the version shows 48.0a again. There is a massive issue with any scenario only showing a black screen on any route for some and others can't even load the game as it immediately crashes on launch. DTG has retracted the 48.6b patch.

With the Steam content delivery system, anything is possible. And RSC/DTG have a reputation of making a mess out of simple updates in the past.

It is true, my primary install got updated by Steam.

My secondary install I had to verify, since the game window was black. It is back to v48.0a since the verification.
The secondary uses an AMD Radeon HD 6800 video card, so I supposed some of the new shaders collided with the AA settings or something like that.
Railworks isn't AMD friendly by design.

I've kept the v48.6b files, and will put them into a spare clean install to experiment.

From DTG's Facebook post.

Train Simulator 2015 Patch Retraction

Because some of our community have reported issues with today’s TS2015.2 patch we have decided to withdraw the patch and revert back to the previous version (TS2015.1).

I would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused and will keep you up to date on the reasons behind the withdrawal of the patch and when you can expect to receive a satisfactory update. Investigations are currently ongoing.

Apologies - my previous post was an attempt at humor. !**duh*!!

It appears the patch hasn't been released - at least not on the left coast. DTG didn't say definitively that the update was to be released today, just that today was the target date.

[Edit] I just read the above post.
Cheers!
