GSkid wrote:Ummmm.... wasn't Donner Pass already a compressed .ap file under TS2014? In TS2013 I used to have Simmer's SD40-2 sounds in there for the SD40T-2. TS2014 wiped that out and honestly I was too lazy to unzip the .ap file and reinstall the sounds.

Yes. Some people keep saying that was the major part of the "update" but Donner was most definitely in .ap format for at least a year.
You can still run the mods.
You either open the .ap file with something like 7-Zip and drag the file in. In which case it will automatically compress it down when you close 7-Zip.
Or, you can just copy the mods with the folder tree in place. IE you can copy the Audio folders, couplers or whatever from a backup, into the Donner Pass folder. The program will still read those mods, even though they are outside the .ap archive.
I just copy the whole Assets folder, minus the Kuju folder, into the new Assets. That's how I reinstall my mods.
As Bob had pointed out a few days ago, the Kuju folder has change because of the new weather. So I just copy and paste the RailVehicles folder from RailSimulatorUS into the new RailSimulatorUS folder. That leaves the scenery assets etc alone. I may have had to copy one of the audio folder over like that too.

Even default routes like Castle Rock, third party routes like Durango & Silverton, Fraser and Cariboo and Freeware routes like the BAY-OF-QUINTE and the Moscow, Camden and San Augustine will not load and just crash the game to the desk top. This gets very old and very tiring. If you have to verify the game after every update, what is the point? The updates are suppose to fix problems, not cause more problems and headaches.
