The Dovetail Folks have been busy

Unread postby Rich_S » Fri Sep 19, 2014 5:18 am

Yesterday morning I received via download, the TS 2015 update. Yesterday afternoon I received a second TS 2015 update, to correct a few issues. And this morning I received a small update (approx. 47.3 MB) I'm not sure what todays update included or corrected? But I just wanted to Thank the Dovetail team for staying on top of this update, so far it's been a fairly smooth transition. !!*ok*!! The only things missing now are updated creator manuals explaining the new Gizmo's found in the Scenario editor and World editor.
Cheers,
Rich S.

I'm disappointed. I grabbed some pop-corn and headed to another forum to watch the drama, and there was none.

Chacal, "he who tinkers too much" just posted his disappointment at TS.com. That was just a matter of time.

I would like to give a Bravo Zulu to DTG on this; I was expecting to have to reinstall all of the third party assets and routes and was fearful of losing or being unable to reinstall at route I have been working on. First launch of the updated game was seamless and all worked perfect. Thank you DTG for this, my hat's off to you and please keep up the good work.

Only one glitch here and that was the NERW-PA division route needed to be reloaded. All routes now working and it seems that the graphic display is sharper and cleaner. Not having jitter problems so far. (Still checking that issue)

The selection menu for route/scenario/activities sucks it is dern hard to read.

Thanks DTG for the update !!jabber!!

Murphy's Law! Got home tonight all physched to upgrade to TS2015 and a huge thunderstorm knocked out my Comcast internet. Won't be repaired until Sunday afternoon. :(

Should not be required, works fine here and for others.

I finally did the TS2015 update yesterday. The update was seamless! I had even made several DLC purchases during the 50% off sale and those installed with the update and were all ready to go as well. Nice job DTG! !!*ok*!!

I thought I would be an early adopter for a change (been away overseas the past 3 updates) and I was pleasantly surprised at its ease. Not quite sure where the 1 gig of upgrade actually went, as I don't have any of the routes for updating and it seems a lot for some fluffy clouds :D

Not sure just why they struggle to get user manuals out at the same time as the upgrades; its not like they decided the day before to drop in some new functionality - there are those that have been beta testing this for months. Doubt we will see them - just dont seem to be seen as a priority, more's the pity...

All in all, a big *!!thnx!!* to DTG - not sure how many more of these we will see...

!*cheers*!
