You need to have it for the textures, a lot of the route was re painted using those textures

Cheers thanks - do I need the route or the route assets file? Route I can live with, but half a gig for the route assets is going to cause me issues.

Cheers

You just need the assets the textures , It's a great route I know your like me as far as modern routes are concerned anything past the 60's is just to Modern. But the PA Division V2 is an excellent route worth the download.. Cheers Mate

I told you wrong you would have to have both I believe the route properties xml lives inside the route folder and that is what the expansion is reading as far as the textures are concerned.

!*hp*!

Finally managed to get it downloaded and "some" of the dependencies it seems and installed last night. Some interesting looking track work and it certainly looks like it would be a loads of enjoyment, but I seem to be missing just about everything. Ran it through RWTools and it spat out a report detailing 415 missing scenery items (no wonder it looks a little plain *!!wink!!* )

Don't really know where to start. Too much to try and track down and way too much for my limited net connection at home, bandwidth wise, considering there is the update in a few weeks to contend with, so I think I will just have to consign this one to the "it was interesting while it lasted" pile...

Good luck, hopefully there are others out there less challenged than me that can help in the testing...

!*cheers*!

You can get the parts of the NERW when needed. I am sure he did not use all 1.4 gig of it. Just need to know what is used from it.

Terry, I got the route and I got it working. V1A. I was able to save a scenario. Stop everything your doing for a few days and I will redo your signals, you have too many in some places and too few in others and some are redundant. While making a scenario I had a problem with pathing from Riverside down to the LS&W, I got to the Southwest portal and then it just errored. So I went into the editor and found a broken section of track that just needed welding. Then I noticed the frogs in the crossover are blocked. After I welded the track I was able to path all the way back to service track 1, 35 miles away.

Give me a few days and I will knock this out for you and set up packaging for freeware assets. Your files had too many payware references that you sent me. I can do it quickly so I am not even going to explain how. That info is in the RW Tools manual.

I guess I should be done sometime Saturday evening. Then you can go back to finishing your scenery.

I also believe I worked out a way to add new scenario starting points. Since this is a clone, your using the starting points markers from the original route. You need your own asset folder structure. However I came up with the idea of just prefixing them with LSW and adding them to the original routes dscv file. Then tell everyone who using the original to write a scenario to ignore the LSW start points. That way everything will stay compatible. I will look a little further into making a separate asset folder structure but it may take too much effort.

Check that, I am now crashing at Hermantown. As I go around the bend by the huge corn field and can see the water tower in the distance it crashes. Will have to see what logmate says.

If your willing to take another look at this I removed those grain fields seems like they are always close to where ever a crash happens, also the RCAP bean fields. Let me know what you think I know your Busy with life and working on your routes. Thanks Again For all your help.. I also reduced the # of assets and what is referenced in the provider list by a considerable amount.

Even though I got scolded via PM for saying this before, I will say it again: this route is clearly not at anything approaching a beta release. **!!2cents!!**

Instead of dwelling on something of no importance, why don't you offer something useful, If you run it did it crash on you and where. Can you save a scenario, anything!! I made a mistake calling it a beta it's an early version to find and fix problems members might encounter.. Hence WIP Beta.Thread

I was up until 3 am working on this. Last time it crashed close to the same area but it was a signal. Then Buzz figured out there was a mipmap problem. If you can get the route to work for me, I will do it. Send me an update.

I had no crash at Hermantown and am at North Woods. Howervr, I did have missing textures near Hermantown in the forest to the left of the track in the woods. Signals need to be updated. I would use one of the signal packs in RCAP (SMM) instead if the GX. Also, the turnouts seem very sharp. And one more issue, the GN speed signs do not show on the ribbon except one in the North Woods area.
