Thanks,

I worked on the route this afternoon, Since it was a rainy day anyway... The Scenery between Mapleton and New Holland is comming along. I'm still changing stuff, like the main Dirt road that's becoming a asphalt road.

Looking good.

You should show them the 1950 Mercury Coupe's in the route.

By the way, I'll get to work on some new buildings this week for the route.

I hate to say Bob, but that one house in the screen won't work for the route, outside of it there's a central airconditioner unit sitting there. Those didn't exist yet back in the 60's and airconditioners were a new thing as well, just coming into development. I suggest either remove the house, or hide the central air with junk rusted out refrigerators in your clutter.

Working on converting my 1966 Chevrolet C10 Panel Wagon into a mow railroad inspection truck.

It will come from the factory with the big block 401 V8 and will sound like a beast.

The final version of it will be white and sport the B&M logo on the sides.

Once finished it will sit on the tracks with the mow front and back train wheels and will run down the track like a locomotive.

...Cheers...

Another piece of the mow truck is done, only a ton left to go and then I can start on the mow train wheels for the front and back.

Also, by the way, does the steering wheel look too small to you, perhaps it should have been a little larger because the old steering wheels from the old 60's vehicles were very large?

Who wants to go try out your new route in your old 1966 Chevrolet C10 Panel Wagon and listen to the engine rumble and the radio blare on the way down.

Don't hate to say Anything JP *!lol!* , I'll putt one of your old refrigerators over there!

anyway, I worked on the route again today (again a rainy day... so not much else to do...) Marc created new 3D trees, and I like realsm, so i just need to place them on certrain places on them map (near the tracks and water). Here are some screenshots of Mapleton, converted into 3D Trees. There is only one line of them, the rest is old fashion 2D to safe what's left of the framerates *!twisted!*

The station building in Mapleton is temporary, ther will be a new one (Better fitting) in the future, but we are currently focusing on other stuff.

Looking good Bob, I'll get some more buildings done soon, as well as a couple of new water towers for the route and other things that might be found around the tracks.

As well, I'll also be building the model of the 1952 Ford truck for the route as well, that will be the next vehicle for the route, and then something from the 40's. There won't be many vehicles from the 40's for the route since they need to be very rare on the route since in the 60's the 40's cars were disappearing and you were seeing less and less of them.

Also coming up for the route will be a model of a general store, in the 1960's most everything you needed to buy would have been found in the local general store.

.....In the 1960's, where do you go to buy your groceries, well, in fact to the old general store.

Here's the first general store for the route, this kind probably would have been found in a small town.

Didn't get as much on it done today as I hoped to get done on it.

The first version of the 1952 Ford F1 pickup truck is now in the sim and here's how it looks.

Did some testing it these evening to make sure it appears decent and the sizing was right, I have to say that it came out well.

Today I'll be painting the Ford all day.

1952 Ford F1 Truck V2.jpg

1952 Ford F1 Truck V3.jpg

Also, I'm also going to convert it into it's other forms as well, such as fire truck, semi, garbage truck and tow truck as well for the route. The good thing about the 1952 Ford is it had a form of each of those with only slight changes to the body.

Something coming up for the route.

Hopefully my test at getting a simple engine running in the sim will be successful, if it is next will be a locomotive for the route.

Yes it will, as long as it's a success for me, if it is it will be the first engine I've ever gotten into the sim.

This one is mainly just a test object, if my plan succeeds I'm going to be starting on a fleet of classic engines for the sim, first up will be the electric engine for the route and then my EMC E1 diesel streamlined locomotive will get finished and released finally.

Also, before I do any of those I'm going to have to either work the bugs out of this computer or hopefully get my new equipment built.
