Yes.

BTW, punctuation is your friend.

Some routes my wife and I traveled. Note: all first class sleeper (roomette) the only way to go.
Empire Builder- Chi-Glacier Park
Cardinal-Chi-Wash DC/Savannah, GA.
California Zephyr-Chi-Glenwood Springs, Co.
Southwest Chief-Chi-Flagstaff, Az.
Lakeshore Limited-Chi-Springfield, Ma
Vermonter-Springfield-Burlington Vt.
As a young pup before Amtrak, City of New Orleans Chi-Nola 3 times, round trip.
The worst part was running to meet train connections. DO NOT expect to arrive on time anywhere.
If you can, stay out of coach. Spend the extra bucks, tip your room attendant well.
Do it before Amtrak goes belly-up. !*cheers*!

I'll start off my saying I rode Amtrak trains Number 42 and Number 43 aka the Pennsylvanian. So I can say I've ridden the Horseshoe curve route in real life. !!*ok*!!

BNOV2, if you have any extra time in your schedule, get off the Capitol Limited in Pittsburgh and ride the Pennsylvanian. You'll get the best view of Horseshoe, ie from the train. You can continue on the Pennsylvanian all the way to New York City (Penn Station) If you can swing your schedule to end up in Washington, ride the Capitol Limited back so you can also see Sand patch on your return trip.
Cheers,

Back from our trip! We didn't ride the Cap Limited to Pittsburgh but instead we did a about face and rode the Adirondack from Montreal to NYC Penn. From there we went to Washington D.C via Acela. After that we took the Pennsylvanian from Philly to Pittsburgh then the Cap Limited to Chicago then the Amtrak Hiawatha Service to Sturtevant WI.

Was a great trip! Hope to have video's uploaded to Youtube soon.
