UP never had them. We will have cr, ns, CSX !!*ok*!!
UP and CP had SD90MACs which are different on the rear end and didn't have marker lights on the nose !!det!!

Changing a few minor details would gain you an SD9043MAC. Then UP, CP, and CITX would result, as well as INRD and a few others. At least two paint schemes of CIT, the old Maroon/Grey, and the current 'Bluebird'.

Ian, can I ask for a fictional scheme? CNW had ordered them at one point but UP took them over and canceled the order.

How much trouble would it be to also do a SD90Mac?

I second that request. Would love to have seen a CNW one.

more progress. The trucks are 95% done. the body is 85% done. Still needs the railings, some more detailing and horn. 88K so far but that will go down once I bake it out. I don't think polys matter too much anymore honestly.

The trucks do have those grooves on the sides like in the last series pic because the front truck was baked last time. I will show the model completely done and baked next time.

Enjoy

keep up the good work. your fast on that engine. so how did you do it? from first shot of the sd80 you use google sketchup from the looks of it then imported in to 3dsmx, or was it something else?

I use sketchup for most of the work. Any last minute details I'll do in max before baking and shader work. I do know how to model in max. I also know it takes almost a year to complete a project like this. I'd rather see it done sooner. I have so many plugins in sketchup that streamline the process. I can essentially get the same result in a third of the time. As you can see you wouldn't know it if I didn't show the sku pic.

The model is ready for baking. Just need to put in 1 last detail. This process will take a couple of weeks. I will bake a grey shell to show it before it hits the paint.

last pic before it hits the baking process. I need to put in some more details for the bake but this is basically the model that you will see on the rails in a while. All work from here is done on max. the front trucks will be baked the back are just place holders. antennae will be placed as well prior to baking as well has handle bars on the nose both sides. will have a pic when that's all done.
