David is kind enough to give me a working copy of the route because I helped him with some track work. Let me tell you all this is going to be an absolutely must have route. Mountainous and extremely scenic. He is so dedicated to getting it correct it must hurt him sometimes when the necessary assets just aren't available. He does need someone to do Redwood tree textures, so if anyone is capable, please help him out. Thank you.

Dang man! I'm getting home sick for CA !*brav*!
If you can get someone to throw together some Redwood tree textures, you won't have to replace all the trees, just some near the track, since at a distance conifers look the same.

Here is a update of the route. For those how do not know the route is from Fort Bragg to Willits California. It is 40 miles long and it runs through the California Redwoods. I have 15 miles of scenery to finish. Track is complete all the way from Fort Bragg to Willits. Here are two more videos of the route. I touched up the Ranch section of the route and made it more like it is in real life. Their are no Redwood tree assets available so I am using what I have access to represent what is really their. Here are some screen shots also. http://youtu.be/7D3XCELnA7E http://youtu.be/o3aaNpeB7YI

I am looking forward to this. My wife and I had our first wedding anniversary in Ft Bragg and road the train. It was indeed very scenic.

Boy do i have news!

When asking Grandpa (Who literally knows ALOT of railroads gone and still here) He told me that there used to be ANOTHER railroad in Willits that the Northwestern Pacific interchanged with. That railroad would be the California Railway & Navigation Company. Used to go east from Willits and duck into another town that started with a T.

The only thing left of the CR&NCo. is the right of way.

Here is a update of the route. The pictures you see are of Northspur it is at approximately 21 miles into the route. This is where they let the passengers off. And where the train turns around to go back to Fort Bragg. There are rides that continue on to Willits. I will continue to fill in scenery up to mile 26. Beyond that all of the scenery is finished. After that it should leave me ten miles of scenery to finish the route. I will make another video after I get to mile 26. To give everyone a little information I do not have the talent to make my own scenery. So I am using pay ware and freeware assets. I will package together all of the free ware assets and supply them when I release the route. I will supply a full list of pay ware routes that I and using. There are quite a few and I know this will not make some people very happy. I am sorry for this I needed to do this to make this route as close to reality as I can. If I had the talent to make my own scenery assets I would but I don't. I have asked other asset builders for help but I have not gotten any response back. They are probably doing their own projects. It would be great if someone could help me with signs. That way everyone would know where they are on the route without looking at the map. And it would add to the route. I can make routes this is my Talent. So I apologies to those that will not be happy. I will continue to give updates on my progress.

I think this is looking fantastic. As for the assets, you do what you can. Some will complain, but it's you that spent your time and talent and created the route. And since the route is freeware, let them moan and groan. Like you said, you asked for help and no one responded.

This is amazing work.
Don't worry about using payware assets. It's your route, and it's a choice for every player.

Do worry about providing an accurate list of assets, with information as precise as you can get, so that it is easier to find the assets.

Thanks!

Thank You I will put up a complete list. My plan is to package all of the freeware assets together and list the creators names and give them credit for their work. And then put the assets on a file sharing site for everyone to download them from. I have MediaFire pro version and this is the site i will upload my assets to. They have a free version for those who do not have this site yet. I just bought the pro version and it said it was add free sharing and downloads. So everyone will need this site to download my route and the freeware assets.

Great work there mate
I would be more than happy to help you out with some signs especially if someone can provide some good front-on pics I can use as textures..
Couldn't find any decent ones on google, and being around 8000 miles away is a bit far for a photo trip..
