Do you think we can do a mulitplayer session?

!!howdy!! Like using teamviewer to play. The engineer and conductor can use teamviewer to be in the same engine and the dispatcher can use teamviewer but I wouldn't know how that can work.

OK, just because it does not have multiplayer does not mean it is behind any other game.

I voted against multi player in the recent poll they had. Multi player is not a necessity to have fun with TS. The Elder Scrolls is on it's 5th addition with Skyrim and it never had multi player. One of the best games out there, it is definitely not behind the times as a result of no multiplayer. If you would frequent some of the Run8 forums or sites you will see it is not really all that popular. It is a real small click of people actually playing it.

It amuses me how much any post concerning a MP function draws such chastise. Just because a few people do not see a need for it, does not mean there is not a want for it. As often as it comes up, I do see there is a clear want for MP. Personally I would love to see a MP function, as it would offer a new challenge, and new opportunities. I would love to get with a few friends and co-workers on a subdivision and run it, together, as a team. Running with robots, with absolute precision, gets rather boring rather quickly.

Users are acting like adding a MP function would make the Career scenarios/Standard/Free Roam obsolete. MP functionality will not, just as the Career system did not. Just because a game has a feature does not mean that it has to be played. The game has the Career system and I have never played with it. The game has lots of diesels, yet, I have NEVER ran one in the game for longer than twenty minutes. I find diesels to be the apotheosis of boredom, yet I am not running around saying that they should not be made because I have no use for them.

On the flip side, there are users who act like MP is the one thing that will make this game playable for everybody even though there is plenty of evidence that the game is playable without MP.

Personally, I am on the fence about MP. I can see how it will make the game more enjoyable to those who like that kind of thing. I can also see the issues that integrating MP could bring if DTG doesn't fix some of the other issues first or at the same time they introduce MP.

I am not acting like it would do anything except waste the developers time that they could be doing something else with. The inter activity you desire that your think MP is going to bring can not even be done with AI. You can not drop off a load and have an AI pick it up or vice versa. You can not work together with the AI. The programming is not there for that kind of functions. You would need a huge re write of the code to get it the way you all want it. Run8 started from scratch and developed their sim around MP. It works. They have no AI...
