First attempt at repainting: Bessemer SD7

So following up jesseg199's SD40T-2 I decided to try and repaint a Bessemer engine of my own, and seeing as I have zero skills at painting on a computer I decided to use the next best thing; photos of my N-scale SD7. Of course this started to turn out just as difficult as designing it on the computer, trying to get the lighting right, detail level, consistency in color and so on, but I kept at it and so far I'm making good progress. Using GreatNortherner's model and some online tutorials I stared figuring out how the whole process worked and put together something reasonable.

My first attempt was ok, but it was pretty evident I needed to go back and re-shoot all the angles. There was some nasty glare I didn't notice at first and it was way too bright:

So I went back and took the shots again, making sure the lighting was a little more even.

I still need to figure out how to either remove the MILW logo and road number or scale a copy of the Bessemer one properly without losing a lot of detail. If I delete it, it gives me the missing texture box, and right now I have a small copy of the cab side patched over the regular skin. If someone has a way to fix this I'd love to hear it. Also, how can I go about making the surface look like a matte finish instead of the shine that mine has? I've seen photos used before and they look a lot more flat than what mine does.
