Any chance of getting the Connie in Southern Railway freight lettering? If I could figure out your graphics, I'd do it myself. I can supply lettering diagrams and paint mixes.

Send me a pm with the information and I'll see what I can do. Changing the lettering is fairly straightforward (basically putting the lettering into an alpha channel as white on black, and the colour of the lettering into the file's RGB channels). Does the numbering use any special font? If it's one that I've already got, then it's easy. Otherwise, making a new font for the numbers takes more time.

Michael,

I can separate the main texture of your Consolidation 280RR from the alpha channel. However, I don't understand how you created the text effect (see below). When I add text to an alpha channel it's just normal white text on a black background.

I just made a Moscow, Camden and San Augustine.
the 280rr main should look like this
280.jpg

and the alpha should be
280alpha.jpg

the result would be

Ermmm, that text effect isn't what I did - it looks like an artefact introduced by whatever method you used to convert the file. It should indeed be just normal white text on a black background.

I used RW Tools to convert the texture file. Will try something else.

XDriver, what did you use to convert the texture file? My main file looks just like yours, but the alpha channel is distorted. I used RW Tools to convert and DXTBmp to separate the main and alpha then Photoshop to edit.

You know its amazing how much appeal this little engine has still after all this time. I've left something for ya'll around the middle mark. !*salute*!

Back to teasing the plebes again... !*roll-laugh*!

Nice video. I think everybody should have to master the Connie before being allowed anywhere near the 800's. Might save a lot of grief and questions *!lol!*

!*cheers*!

Buzz and Ozionz, its much different than being at the throttle of the Connie.

Very good video. This Connie is on my list of things to buy...has been for some time, rather.
