Either "I cloned" or leave off the "I" or what?

Ok I see where the confusion is.
You can clone a route by just going into the TS 2014>Build>(Highlight The Original NEC)>Click "Clone Route"
Then name it to whatever you want.
Then go into Contents\Routes and find the route folder for your clone (or use RW-Tools, or Namemyroute.exe).
Then open the downloaded folder and delete "RouteProperties.xml" so it doesn't overwrite your clone's RouteProperties.xml file.
Then copy and paste the downloaded folder into your clone's folder and overwrite when prompted.
Thats it.

OK I got this all done now that I understand. There is no rolling stock showing up in any of the free roams. Is this as it should be and should scenarios from the regular route work on here? I feel like a noob. *!embar*!

Genesis P42
Class 395 (London to Favershem Route)

So I finally installed this without making a clone. Simply following the instructions provided in the readme first. Dont want two versions of the NEC. I know if i do a verify that the NEC will be "defaulted" again, but its quick and easy to reinstall your improvements.

Anyways, seems like it works perfect, everything shows up as far as I can tell. Gonna take a spin down the corridor and see your improvements. Im running the Chasing Midnight scenario made by Elphaba. Being a midnight scenario I expect to see the light fixes you improved upon. Its been a while since I last ran the NEC, is there anything track and scenery wise that I should look out for? I mean, you have done some track work, is there anywhere in particular I should look and see/feel the difference?

I did not use your trackrules file, ( from what you pointed out in red on page 1, I kept the original. ) I dont understand all the file stuff like track rules so Im just gonna ask a dumb question here. If Im not using your track rule that you provided in the download, will I still see the difference in regards to your track work? Just had to ask. *!embar*!

Thanks again for improving the corridor SithMurcielago **!!bow!!**

Dear Imnew,

I'm so glad to hear from you as i value each person's opinion. I never used a new trackrule. I kept the original. I only made the most changes in the track.bin file via Rw Tools, then I begun work from the inside. What I highlighted in red was for the people whose's route didn't show up. If my changes showed up in the original perfectly then thats good. As always keep backups. As far as looking out for anything, I haven't made any changes to the scenery except for a few instances. The tracks is where the work has been done. i will do the scenery in the future as that takes alot of work to do. Let me know how the default scenarios go.

Thanks for trying and hope to see some screenies of your NEC adventure!

So some good things have happen to where now i can resume work. I manage to get my full license for Rw tools back. Next I'm going to get my redem back so i can start planning for the next phase. I been avoiding the nagging scenery for a while and hopefully soon I can start tackling it again. I just need my coffee first and my drive back. !!*ok*!!

Good to hear and good luck with scenery. That is always the toughest part of route building.

It requires both although they are not used at the moment but will be.

An interesting read on Rail Simulator's Facebook Page when someone brought up this project:

Carlisle Jed James At RWA Forums, there's a community project going on to extend the Northeast Corridor to DC as well as generally rebuild it. That bundled with this, and *hopefully* HHP-8's + ACS-64's and the revamped AEM-7 at RWA would be a dream. I'd love to see some NortheastRegional passenger, cafe and cabs cars too! Downeaster stuff would be amazing. I'm loving the work you're doing though, keep it up

RailSimulator.com Maybe when they are done they can release it through Workshop for everyone to enjoy.

Now i don't typically read into what is being said but i was curious to wonder why DTG would say that when we all know a post workshop would never happen because of the third party items that are not included in any of their routes. Are they trying to be sarcastically funny?

I was the one who posted the original comment about this project (probably shouldn't have, but oh well) and I was surprised as well. Third party items aren't allowed in Workshop files AFAIK, so it wouldn't work. Posting it here and on a mirror/file upload service, then get people to download from this thread would be a good idea. !!*ok*!!

Hi,

I am pleased to find my existing scenarios work in this revamp! Thanks.
However there are a bunch of missing assets not found in your list. Such as ones from the seattle and soo line payware packs which are indeed used on this route.

missing:
The downtown buildings megapack
30s metropolis
(both are uploaded here at RWA)
"nec sacaucus.bin" (misspelled file, copying the seacaucus.bin file in the RSC/NorthEastCorridor/Stations folder fixes it.

and the following:
