This is totally the kind of thing that the community can do. I'm still new to it, but I could probably develop some of the models for some stations and do some location photos. I'm around DC Union Station all the time, and it wouldn't be difficult for me to get out to Baltimore with a camera.

Indeed i can only do so much as one person, but as a community project alot can get done and at a fast pace. I'm pretty much done with trackwork for now so i'm getting ready to rip up the scenery and redo them. murdan is going to provide the night textures for some of the buildings especially the skyscrapers.

I'm going to need alot of coffee. Not the cheap kind either.

Good quality coffee is always the best.

I could give a go if you need some help. I'm in the same boat as the other dude, I've got no experience in building routes but I can sure as hell try! !*roll-laugh*!

I'll go through my photos and see if I have anything usable for figuring out scenery. Assuming we can all help out not only improving the existing route but even extending it south, I'll have gigabytes of stuff ready for working on the DC area.

So whats new with me?

Not much done lately. I did a few bug fixes, but i think its a good time as any to release an open Community beta to get the communities input on the work done so far. if you have suggestions or made some REALISTIC changes send it to me and i will take a look and if it does well we add it for the next beta release

So What do you need to make it happen?

For starters you will need the Original NEC route that goes without saying and you will need the following:

Marias Pass
Stevens Pass
Pacific Surfliner
Donner Pass (But I doubt I will be using much from it)
Soo Line & Seattle Assets (Ivan's/eyein12 Assets)
Acela Express
Genesis P42DC Pack
Scalerail (Original)
Portland Terminal

I will provide one of the main assests required

Just out of curiousness,

Is anyone having problems getting the route to show up in-game?

Yes there is some kind of problem. It is not showing up in game and RWTools says there is a format error.

Ok i fixed the problem. A weird error. I clone the original again and paste the contents of the revamp folder into the new clone, overwrite everything except for "Route Properties". You don't need that so delete the old one and keep the new one. That solved the problem. So from now on, I will not upload the entire folder, but only the contents as mention above.

As for the SAD assets I had them for a while I don't remember where I got them from but you have all of them already than you should be set.

I tried both route properties (I assume you are talking about the xml file) and get the same error message.

Once you clone the new route you have to keep its "Route Properties" xml file, but you don't need the one i package with the release. You delete that one before you move the contents. Just move all the contents of beta release into that new clone route, overwrite the files except Route Properties.

let me know whats not showing up.

"I clone the original again and paste the contents of the revamp folder into the new clone"

Would you please re-word this so I can understand what you are trying to say. Obviously I am not doing what you want me to do.

You did what was suppose to be done. DON"T copy the "RouteProperties.xml" file from the download into the clone route. It will not work. I can't be any clearer than that.

I clone the original again

What does that mean?

Either "I cloned" or leave off the "I" or what?
