Haha, the NYC system has it's fair share of grade level and elevated track away from Manhattan.

They just posted another tidbit about NYC Subway on Facebook a few minutes ago. Seems to be the new route.

Just my **!!2cents!!**

You can now return to your speculations !*roll-laugh*!

Really seems odd for NS to be a partner with them when there is so little official NS content available. !*don-know!*

Where did you guys hear that NS has any partnership? *!question!*

I see nothing on Facebook or their Website.

They shared a link to the NS system on Facebook on Feb 3rd, and in the post called NS an official partner. That's the only place I've seen this referred too.

:( I hope not. I shouldn't knock it for those that will enjoy it, but operating a subway is not my style. Now a Chicago Metra line, that I could go for!

Commuter line.... yes.

Subway line... no.

Subway lines would be visually boring IMO and kinda claustrophobic for a train sim. Only the hardcore timetable nuts could put up with it and still get their fix. I'd prefer the NS route speculation to this one.

Since everyone is throwing on their opinions on a US route and possibly an NS one too id like to throw out an idea.
Norfolk Southerns East and West End Memphis Districts. The east end runs from Chattanooga Tn to Sheffield Al. They have some trackage rights on the CSX for a small portion ans then back on to home rails towards Sheffield. The east end also runs through decatur, al which is part of a freeware route "Decatur Junction". The west end runs from Sheffield to Memphis which also connects with Rossville intermodal terminal. Both of these lines are very scenic and can provide long haul freights, lots of locals, and the occasional ocs. Another reason sheffield would be a good place to have is because of the West End NA also running south out of sheffield yard to birminghams norris yard. The traffic on the West End NA is down to two trains a day and sometimes the occasional empty coal train reroute. I have railfanned all these lines since i was a little kid ,im 16 now, and the possibilites of these lines is endless. Thanks for reading guys and gals, keep up the hard work and lets see what dovetail brings us for 2014.

Yes! I would love something like that. They have plenty of Eastern and Western routes. Time for something Midwestern. Chicago would be perfect. I emailed in a request for the 115 mile, BNSF Aurora Sub. That obviously won't happen. I'd do it myself with the Google Earth thing but the terrain and scenery wouldn't exist.. I think it would be cool for something (to me) local to be created. I don't think they have done anything near Illinois at all. I could be wrong but yeah, that's how I feel. I mean you got the Surfliner, NEC, Horseshoe Curve, Marias Pass, a couple other Rocky routes, Cajon Pass, There was a Boston one I saw, but nothing in between. Oh well, maybe one day. You could have fun running a Chicago Metra on any of the Metra routes, probably not the BNSF, only because BNSF won't allow the new Metra units. Apparently they breakdown too much and delay freight traffic. They still run the old F40's. It wouldn't surprise me if Railworks (assuming they did a Metra Route) did a BNSF one. They would only have to repaint the Amtrak F40, rather than create a new locomotive. Oh well. A man can dream. Oh, and functioning cab cars! I would love that! (I'm not buying the Surfliner. Not local nor do I have any connection lol. I bought Marias Pass, and the Dash 9 pack for BNSF. I have family who are employed so I share that connection.)
