I'm not sure, but I think it can be heard in bpetit's video starting from 8:35.
This is inside the cab. I didn't hear any outside the cab.
Not that it sounds bad, but you did ask.

Oh drat! I just noticed that too. I figured out how to alleviate said issue too. So the update to fix it will be included in the addition. Nice catch!

Okay.... watching that video, I don't hear the flanging in the trackside mode. So I'm good with that. In-cab view, I do hear a very slow rate phase sweep. People who have used an electric guitar phaser-effect pedal set at a very slow sweep rate know what I'm talking about. Definitely a very VERY small nitpick. Sounds great otherwise! !!*ok*!!

By the way.... flanging and phasing sound similar, but phasing has a more spacey sweeping sound. Best way I can describe the difference. !*don-know!*

Silly me, I thought flanging was the sound the wheels make going around a curve. !**duh*!! (I'll go sit in the corner now)

That's quite okay. The average person doesn't usually know either. It's mainly used in music, but is also used for sound effects in movies and videogames too.

Here's their wiki descriptions...... also click on the audio samples along the right-hand side of each page. They play the synth clean without the effect and then with the effect. The up and down sweeping sound is more noticeable in the samples cuz they are at a faster sweep rate. BNSFdude's sweep is at a very slow rate. Once you know what it is, you can't miss it. *!!wink!!*

Flanging....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flanging

Phaser (effect)....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phaser_%28effect%29

EDIT: ....BTW.... BNSFdude's sound was an UNINTENTIONAL side effect when two samples are played at once, but are slightly out of sync (out of phase). In music, this effect is used on purpose. He never intended his sound to do it. !!howdy!!

Just remembered that the SD40-2 Independence is not a part of this pack.

Click the link, click buy, once your account is set up, look on the right hand of the main forum and Look for 'EMD 40 Series'. From there you can start a transaction after your pay pal has been linked.

I got it, nice work! And you also got my wife ticked off at me. She said, "Turn that down, it sounds like a train coming through the house!!!"

Haha !*roll-laugh*!

BN SD40 has the RS3K
BNSF SD40 has the K3LA
SP SD40T has the P3
UP SD40 has the RS3L

But the CN Widenose still has its default horn. Does it have the K3L?

Yeah the CN Widenose should have a K3L.
Could someone else report on this?
