Jingle bells!

Whatever you do, don't miss RSC's Holiday Express route! At only $2.99 (a great bargain for us Yanks, since it costs Brits & Europeans 2,99 pounds), not even Ebeneezer Scrooge or the Grinch can complain. If you don't own TS201x, buy the route anyway: it runs independently as well as within the overall simulator.

The only absurdity about this neat little package is that all the scenarios with the exception of one Quick Drive are of the Career variety. Don't get me started! !*hp*!

Rolling stock includes both a diesel and a steam engine, a passenger carriage, and a host of flatcars loaded with everything from alphabet blocks to a stuffed bear; there are even soldiers (plastic, in combat poses, not the traditional lead variety).

The steeply climbing loop through the walls beats anything that can be experienced on Marias Pass and falling off the table is worth the price of admission.

Don't wait for Christmas morning to open this beauty!

Easily worth the 2.99. Scenarios are quick to play though and it's incredibly cute. Also, yes, you can quick drive the route with other engines, which is awesome.

Inb4 someone makes a model layout.

My little boy is 17 today, but I'm still going to get it, because we're all little boys when it comes to this kind of thing.

Great job Derek, you deserve a BAFTA for this !!*ok*!!

I originally thought this looked kinda lame and was expecting it to bee too much money and I had no plans on buying it.

However for $2.99 I decided it was worth it and bought it. My 2 year old daughter will love it and that is worth far more than $3.

Falling off the table? How come RSC didn't talk about that?

Cause it happens.

Going more than 30mph guarantees a derailment.

Looks cool. Reminds me of getting my first "proper" (electric) Hornby train set when I was about 15 and having great fun racing Flying Scotsman round 17" radius curves, until the gearing filled up with carpet fluff and the motor seized!

Ouch! i remember having to fix the loco that came with my cousins first train set after he did something similar it was not a pretty sight let me tell you but your right it was great fun watching it tearing around under the kitchen table and round the sofa and bookshelf's till it seized up and let out the magic smoke then of course i got the blame for not warning him or his parents what would happen if they ran it on carpet but that's neither here nor there whats important is that it took me 3 weeks to get another motor and gearbox and fix it for him 3 weeks in which i had been forced to give him one of my locos that he did the same thing to I was not happy lemme tell you my parents forced me to lend him my best loco a hand built brass Victorian railways R class 4-6-4 and i get it back absolutely destroyed? i have not spoken to him in 10 years

I broke down and splurged on this cute little kit of a model railroad. Must admit it's pretty fun. With quick drive, I put this little puffer and cars to the test:
