If you double-click on the loco, and move the mouse over to the top right-hand side, you'll see a flyout that lets you change the loco number.

If you double-click on the tender, and move the mouse over to the top right-hand side, you'll see a flyout that lets you change the tender number as well as setting the initial amount of coal and water.

Mike, I normally don't use the HUD version but I was testing a couple of scenarios over at the NERW and I noticed with that version the camera view 1 is set back behind the back window. Is yours that way? Also, I couldn't get the front headlight to turn on.

Just an FYI because I don't want to take your time away from the 4-8-4!

Hmm, Brennan had the same thing, and someone on the Steam forum (before it all got wiped), but try as I might, I just can't reproduce the problem. My HUD version (not just my development model, but also one I "bought" with a Steam code on another PC) works fine (headlights too). I wish I could find out why it happens.

I couldn't resist. I deleted my DLC copy of the Connie and verified the game files to reacquire it from Steam. Then I started up TS2014 and selected the free roam scenario for the HUD version at Cresson. The cab camera viewpoint was fine. Next, I created a new free roam scenario and placed the HUD Connie in it. Guess what ... the viewpoint is behind the rear window, just as you have. This, I do not understand at all! It's the same loco in both scenarios. The only difference is that the first one was already created for the DLC, and the second one I created in the editor just now. It's as if the editor itself is somehow changing the reference coordinates for the cab camera viewpoint! Maybe it's because the packaged scenarios were created before TS2014.

In recent tests, adding a passenger view to a car, I discovered that the camera blueprint must be compiled into a .bin file. An xml file won't do.

I don't know if it's the same for the engine cab camera but it probably is.

Yeah, but I created the Consolidation, I haven't modded any files. I'm testing the DLC exactly as acquired from Steam. I've sent an email to RSC explaining what I see. It's very strange, because both the HUD and non-HUD versions reference the same cab and the the same interior camera blueprint. What's more, the scenarios created in the TS2013 editor work fine. It's only when you make a new scenario now that it goes wrong. Even stranger, it only goes wrong for the HUD one. I have no idea why.

Important notice about the problem with the ATN HUD cab camera positions:

I had another look to see if I could find any differences between ATN Lined and ATN HUD, and couldn't see any affecting the camera, but I noticed that in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Assets\Smokebox\Consolidation\RailVehicles\Steam\Consolidation\ATN HUD\Engine there is a file called Consolidation - Copy.bin. That shouldn't be there! I think it must've snuck in when I did the patch for the flange squeal sounds. If you delete it, all will be well with the cab.

Thinking about making a Super Connie, as in roughly like the BigBoy. *!lol!*
