Bloody Noses still survive in the desert and in the CA mountains. I saw this one in Fernley NV recently. Faded but still proud.
I also saw a SP, Dash 9 in a lead consist going over Donner pass one day earlier. Unfortunately I couldn't get the camera out fast enough for that one.
These locals like the one below, come racing home out of the desert to Sparks NV, near sunset, like stock returning to the barn in the evening.
Because of a rare and early rain there is no dust being kicked up, belying the speed this little local is running.
