Don't forget the graffiti and billboards. It wouldn't be L.A. without it. Will there be freight operations also? !!*ok*!!

That is a passenger only route, right? The MSTS ones (there are two of them) run along the Pacific, so we'll get ocean surf, blowing sand and salty air in Railworks?

Too early to say, but will we get those trains that 3DTrains did for MSTS?

Still, I'd rather wish RSC would improve and expand their present US routes and consolidate the range of USA locomotives and trains instead of churning out new ones every two months.

Nice work on the LA industrial corridor. Now let's see some Surfliner trains along the beach! :D

Although I had an w-i-p F59PHI and Alstom cars here, the above route is none of my doing. This is a huge undertaking - far to big for me to tackle, and judging by the amount of detail being placed, is still a long way off from completion. If going from LA to SD (128 or so miles), this will be one the biggest and most densely populated RSC routes to date, and a tough one to pull off convincingly.
Cheers!

Ahhh! I don't have the money now but I'll find it for this route!

By the way if you want to get a glimpse at what the route will be like, here you go!

This is good news. Unfortunately it's the northern half of the Surfliner route I want from L.A. to San Luis Obispo that's missing. That would take it past my neck of the woods like Surfliner 2 does for MSTS. I'll likely still get it anyways though. *!greengrin!*

I hope eventually RSC will make something like a Great Plains route instead of just mountain passes and routes in big cities. I would love to roll SD70M-2s through little dusty towns surrounded by farms.

Aah. Los Angeles - the Venice of the railroads. :D

(unless there are many other cities with similar railroad infrastructure, in which case can you let me know where they are so I can avoid them in future? *!!wink!!* )

With a pair of travelers at each windowpane.
I may sit beside you all the journey through,
Or I may sit elsewhere, never knowing you.
But if fate should mark me to sit by your side,
Let's be pleasant travellers; it's so short a ride."

I've submitted the Northstar Rail Corridor to them, I just need enough public support to get them to consider it.

Have you D/L Great Northerners routes? Maybe that will keep you until someone else does. *!greengrin!*

I would have to say Chicago is clearly the leader in rail infrastructure. All the biggest North American class I railroads (Canadian National, Canadian Pacific, BNSF, Union Pacific, CSX, Norfolk Southern, Kansas City Southern) own tracks going to Chicago. It has traditionally been a center hub city of transportation.

L.A. would be more Venice like in climate. In fact there is a coastal suburb complete with canals called Venice.

That's basically what the Sherman Hill route is.

I like the Marias Pass route because it's basically a hybrid cross of the Donner Pass route and the Sherman Hill route. That is... mountain passes on the western half of the route and flat farm plains on the eastern half.
