More New Vermont Railway Content Posted (GP9, Boxcars, Caboose)

Unread postby dgallina » Tue Sep 03, 2013 11:16 am

Hi Everyone,

The following new Vermont Railway reskins have been posted to the file library. Think this should give you (with the previous RS3s) a reasonably useful set of VTR equipment to run. GP38 and 100t hopper skins would probably be nice at some point too, but think I'll take a break and do some other roads that need equipment first. Maybe MEC and B&M in schemes we haven't seen much of yet.

1) A high-hood GP9 skinned on the Britkits GP9 Xtra kit (payware required)

2) A 40ft PS-1 boxcar in forest green skinned on the free Golden Age of Railroading 40ft PS-1 boxcar kit

3) A 50ft Outside-Ribbed boxcar in yellow skinned on the Golden Age of Railroading 50ft boxcar included within the MILW Freight pack (payware required)

4) A bay window caboose skinned on the BLLW bay window caboose kit (payware required)

Thanks to all the original content creators for permission to upload these.

Diego

If you like... I have some WATCH YOUR STEP child decals for the steps (you may have noticed the mapping is mirrored on them). Years ago (has it really been that long?) I was converting the BLLW bay window into a SP/SSW variant. I pluged the windows, added a two door tool box, and added Kali's custom numbering (child numbers). Unfortunately my computer crashed and with it one of the more recent backups which never made it off the computer to the NAS. So I gave up. It was an uphill battle in the long run.

Nice screen grab Marc. Is that Portland Terminal? IMO these are nice on Ft Kent too.

Thanks, Diego. Yes, that is Portland Terminal. That's approaching the swing bridge from the Deering side, by the B&M Baked Beans plant. PT is one of my favorite routes as I live less than two hours away from there, and I have family in the area that we visit often. The realism of this route is amazing. It's a terrific switching route. I made a very simple free roam scenario starting at Deering and drove South to Pine Point, just to showcase the VTR equipment. I'll have to do the same for Ft. Kent to Eagle Lake and post a shot from that too.
Looking forward to the other Eastern nameplates you've mentioned, B&M and MEC.

Very fine work, sir! **!!bow!!**
Thanks, !*cheers*!

Yes, they are!

But the bridge operator must be very impatient...

Yeah, that swing bridge needs to move a little faster or earlier or something :-)
