SD45 Reskin Pack

Unread postby Marleyman » Mon Aug 12, 2013 8:33 am

Started working on the SD45, got my map just about done.

And now looking at the MPI Livery although this Blue colour is hard to match.

mpi.JPG

So, that is all I have on day one. if anyone has the HEX or RGB value for the MPI Blue, let me know, otherwise I will just make my own estimate.

The plan is to create six different liveries for the UP SD45 and release as one pack. On the list so far are;
MPI
CSX
Rio Grande
CEFX
HLCX

Feel free to modify that list with suggestions based on the routes we already have available and I will see what I can do.

Looks great and thanks for your hard work. By saying MP, are you referring to Missouri Pacific?
A green and black SD45 Burlington Northern (which I sent a photo) would get lots of mileage on Marias Pass.
Your choices of road names are fantastic.
A big thanks from me. !*salute*!

I have no idea what MPI stands for. It could be Marleyman Painted It... :) In fact I am sure that is right.

The MPI is the livery of least interest to me since it's the only one of those liveries I've never seen in real life. In fact.... I never heard of MPI before hitting this thread.

What geographic area is MPI prevalent? !**conf**!
EMD 2-strokes rule! My all time favorite: SD45X also love the SD40-2/SD40T-2/SD45-2/SD45T-2/DD35A/DDA40X/SD70ACe/SD80ACe

Southern Pacific RR! Bloody nose/Serif lettering - Donner Pass/Tehachapi Pass/Cajon Pass/UP Coast Line

Gskid and MM,

MPI units where all over the place. Most of the class 1 railroads leased from MPI at one time or another. Utah railway leased from MPI and actually ended up buying rebuilds and MK5000`s from Morrison Knudsen. The J along with MRL also had MPI but cant remember if they leased or bought the MPI units.

Day 2, millions of 'fiddly bits' completed.

Looking for that from piece just behind the coupler and that Red stripe on the side is very elusive too.
