I don't often gripe about things like this, but every DLC train or engine now comes with three scenarios, one of which is a "tutorial". Way back when, RS came with a set of driving tutorials, which disappeared at some point. I'm not sure whether a basic Drivers' Manual came with any of the TS2013 incarnations, but I would certainly hope so. If so, what need is there for these short and silly tutorial scenarios?

Okay, that's it ... back to editing my next scenario release.

The Driving Tutorials are for the Newbies, don't you know... They probably don't have all the huge collection of DLC that us Ol' Geezers have. RSC is just trying to cover all the bases to give the new guys a leg up...That my story and I'm sticking to it. Hee, hee.

WAIT Looks like we have a problem RSC-------
Just tried to upload a scenario to the workshop using the Empire Builder and it got denied because it said I used 3rd Party Content. I made test scenarios and it looks like Railworks is identifying the Empire Builder as 3rd Party. !*hp*!

It'll be fixed tomorrow I'm sure. That would explain why it isnt showing up in the collections screen.

Hopefully, it's a great model that I hope I can get alot of use out of. I just wish there was some more GN rolling stock from RSC, a reefer and a boxcar for every freight that rolls by can be a little iffy. But for everything included in the pack for once I think I can actually say RSC priced this just about right. !!*ok*!! !*cheers*!

Yes, it a pity they issued one plain boxcar, reefer and a caboose to go with the GP9.

Some of the coloured GN slogan boxcars would be nice. Now we have to wait for one of our resident artists to repaint them.

Also strange it that the trend that was started with Sherman Hill to have EOT devices and brakehoses on the couplers hasn't been continued.
I know, EOT's are inappropirate for this era, but then give that caboose marker lights so the code and child objects/nodes are available for future models.

The passenger cars have interior lighting at night, showing mostly empty interiors. Can we add some people to sit at the cafe tables?

All in all a good addition, 8/10 for me.

Kanawha

RSC still is providing many older bundled freight cars in DLC with non-working brake line hoses built into the .GeoPcDx design for each car. These hoses interfere visually with GreatNortherner's animated Coupler and Air Brake Hose Mod that I have added to all my fleet.

I, for one, am glad that RSC has decided not to add inanimate brake line hoses to the car ends. The Horseshoe Curve route still comes bundled with rolling stock that have air brake hoses that cannot be removed. So I end up seeing a working, made-up, air hose and a non-working dangling air hose when cars are coupled up. Not very prototypical...

There is GN rolling stock available from both BriKits and Great Northerner.

I hadn't even realized this came with a GP9 and some freight cars! Does the GP9 in the pack differ in any way from the Great Northern GP9 from the original GP9 DLC?

The GP9 DLC Pack isn't upgraded to TSX standards (specifically, no light cast on the ground from headlights). Does this GP9 cast light?

Thanks in advance! !!*ok*!!

The GN GP9 bundled with Empire Builder pack 01 does not cast a beam of light from any of its head lights...just like all the other RSC GP9 locos in the DLC fleet. "Doc" Machinist has made a Loco Enhancement mod for NERWPA route for their NE GP9 repaint. And I am trying to copy his BluePrint coding to edit the other GP9 locos to have Shining head lights.
