I wonder if the GP7 is correctly set up for long hood forward?

I just downloaded the Empire Builder F7 Package (\assets\RSC\EmpireBuilderPack01).

I don't see an Empire Builder tile on my Collection page yet but I do have the EMD F7 Great Northern Locos under the EMD F7 Quick Drive tile in five different lashups in the EMD F7 added to the existing EMD F7 + 8 Coaches (UP). They are: EMD F7 Great Northern Empire Builder, EMD F7 Great Northern Light Engine A + B Units, EMD F7 Great Northern Light Engine A + B + A Units, EMD F7 Great Northern Light Engine A + B + B + A Units, and EMD F7 Great Northern Light Engine A Unit. The EMD GP9 - Great Northern has been added to the EMD GP9 Quick Drive list as well.

I expect that the Empire Builder Collection page tile will show up eventually once the Steam Store download server is not so busy and can update my owned assets.

Edit: incidently, the GN GP9 has short nose forward control stand setup in Quick Drive.

Edit2: The Mars light on the F7 A unit casts a gyrating "cone of illumination" forward in front of the lead unit. And there is a noticable pulsating light flare in the lamp when you gaze into it. NEAT!

Nice train! Haven't bought any full price DLC in a while, but since this a complete train made from new models, I gave in this time.

No Pullmans in the introduction scenario's train. Those are "duplex" sleepers, right? There are however quite a few different passenger cars in the Railvehicles folder.
Passenger view out of the Dutch doors from every sleeper and from the domes and from the observation lounge. No music and stock still passengers though.

Is this the first new F unit since the Kuju was dropped with TS 2013? 3DTrains' model I presume. Nice Mars light effect, a real figure 8 to judge by the shadows cast.

Also with me nothing is shown on the Collection screen.

Looking good so far. Opposing freights all run with GP9's long hood forwards. Sound are a little quiet, and no three axle clickety clack when the great dome passes by. Lights and sound can easily be amended later.

Yeah, I can't remember when I paid full price for DLC, but I got this one. I am an F7 fanatic, and this one is so beautiful. I've run the first two scenarios and both the train and the scenery are just lovely.

How do you switch between passenger views, though? I almost never do passenger view. I can get to the observation car with "5", but repeated presses of that key don't do anything. Doesn't show up on my collection page either, but it does under the route in Single Player menu.

Sounds are quiet, but did I mention she is just simply lovely?! Really looking forward to more Workshop scenarios for this set.

These are trains! Loud, big, rumble-y, diesel-ey, trains! They should shake my speakers and upset my neighbors! !*YAAA*! !!jabber!! !!det!!

My five key put me into a sort of head out view about mid train. We need to figger this out. Doesn't seem right.

In the HUD, click on the Next and Previous car symbols right to the right of the Passenger view button.
After using the "5" key, press CTRL + Left or Right cursor key to move into the next car.
I like the Dutch door head out view on the sleepers.

A quick glance into the passenger car bin files learned me that the bogie sounds which provide the outside "clickety clack" are aliased to the Superliner folder. No doubt a quick hack will allow you to use other sounds, like BG_Modern from the Audio/RailVehicles/Bogies folder inside the EmpireBuilderPack01 folder.

I have been able to get the interior views of the different cars by using the HUD "car shift forward" or "car shift reverse" buttons (right arrow, left arrow buttons) to move to the exterior view to the particular car I am interested in. Then I press the HUD Interior View button.

only the observatory car and dome cars have passenger views, which is fine by me. You just have to switch cars until you get to it. These cars are beautiful, and the horn is correct, and LOUD. !!*ok*!! to RSC.

The set is beautifully detailed, but it seems the physics are a little messed up at the moment. Try and coast the empire builder.....you cant, it acts like the brakes are on when the throttle is not applied, and the top speed isn't reachable.

The F40PH has a similar problem, you begin losing speed extremely quickly as soon as the throttle is returned to idle. That being said, this set looks pretty awesome, I'll probably be picking it up next time there's a sale, since I'm still very occupied with the stock I picked up during the Summer Sale
