I put physics last because I honestly don't know how a train is supposed to act in this or that situation, so honestly I couldn't tell the difference between inaccurate physics and real world physics.

Having just admitted that you know nothing about physics, doesn't it strike you as ridiculous that you made them a priority at all? This reminds me of the old saying, "I don't know much about art, but I know what I like", except that you seem to lack any basis for even knowing what you like. I don't mean to be insulting; it's just that comments such as yours don't seem to make any sense.

Eh, something gotta be last, might as well be physics.

I hope there features that have been apply to core game. like distances mountain from Marias pass & thunderstorms from Sherman hill. hope the scrip for thunderstorm weather has been improved. but we shell see in 7 days. can't wait.

also I hope quick drive feature for world editor been open up as well. the markers are then just can't use them.

What they really need to do is put all the old routes and rollingstock back into the sim as default to how it used to be like. I know that I enjoy the F7's and some of the other old routes, but I know that there are some that are lacking all of those still.

Or at least put all the old rollingstock back into the sim again as default again.

Perhaps a Freudian slip as you were typing while also daydreaming of tomorrow mornings eagerly anticipated trip thru the local DDs drive thru for a delicious hot cup of java and a glazed! *!lol!*

I much prefer other kinds of DDs..

Hehe... ;)

I happen to like the game as it stands, though the older rolling stock has really awful physics that just keep getting brought back to my machine through automatic updates. A 30 car train doesn't stop like a box truck from 10 mph...

Since we're not speculating and only 'officially' wishing, I have to add that my only hope and prayer is for a bailable engine brake for the NA locomotives. I know that involves a revision of the core, but IMHO as long as I can't bail off the game falls short of simulator quality. I think I've officially moved on from MSTS now to TS2013 and that little update in the core program would make a world of difference to those of us who know why the feature exists in the first place!

Thanks for listening... ;)

You all and your wish lists are posting all this in the wrong place and too late for this year. This stuff should all be communicated to the people who sell this stuff not on some forum that only gets read occasionally by the folks who make and sell this great sim.

Right you are, Buzz, so let's take this fruitless discussion in another direction. Railsimulator.com hasn't changed since July 4 (and before that, since June 27); at Engine-Driver.com, the current date is still July 8; RSC's Facebook site is up-to-date (announcing that Hamburg-Hannover comes out tomorrow, July 25, thus giving the lie to much speculation), but after that time recedes rapidly; now, does all of the neglected updating indicate a) that TS2014's release will also be delayed, or b) that everyone's too busy working on the big stuff to mind the small stuff and the latest version will roll out early?

Place your bets here, ladies & gentlemen (and all the rest of you, too)! !*YAAA*! !*roll-laugh*!

Just like the last update, I will be on holidays in the sunny US of A right when it comes out, so all the wailing and gnashing of teeth will be over before I get home and get to look at it.

**!!bow!!** to all those early adopters who will selflessly sacrifice themselves to get it first and iron the bugs out for the rest of us *!lol!*

Let's dissect this...

1) This is up to the modeler, not the game engine. Go look at the Connie, even some of the new DTM and Reppo models. I am even attempting realism with the GP40 VRC is making.
2) Agreed. This could use improvement.
3) Nice to have. No point until #2 is done. Personally I will never use it.
4) Done. Its called TSX (AKA RW3) and modelers just need to implement it.
5) Kinda done. When TSX came out they did improve on this. Can it be better? Sure. Should it be better? Who knows. Personally I need this to be improved as I need to see mountains across the Bay on my route.

Here the thing UP4014BigBoy. For those of us that have been around since RW2 (like me) and there are even a few since RS, we have seen a lot of improvements over each new version. When RW3 was announced the CEO made a big mistake. He shared what he had seen in development and told us it was awesome, and in the end it took two years to get most of these features. This is why I stated in the start of this thread that we not speculate what is coming. Some of us will get all hyped, and when the truth is announced there will be a lot of sad faces, even mad people (no I am not kidding) because their 'expectations' were not met.

The fact remains that this is a awesome simulator that we should just thank RSC that they support it and continue to do what they do. Every now and then when we think we can wave a magic wand and make some great thing happen in the virtual world we need to remember what it takes to create this stuff, lean back and enjoy our time there.
