Scenerio - Fruit Load Trip

Unread postby EngineerBill78 » Mon Dec 13, 2010 7:18 pm

Hi Everyone & especially those out there that know how to make scenerios.. Now I don't have the New Railworks just yet but this perfect timing to introduce to this idea for good mission or scenerio that you could make for not just me but for others that might want to do the same scenerio..

How about first of all lets set the stage of the location for this scenerio.. Depart from Fresno California & The Destination will be Grants Pass in Oregon..

The part of Job description for this scenerio will be to Pick up 20 box cars loaded with Tomatoes, & other Tropical Fruit & deliver them to a warehouse in Grants Pass in Oregon. Plus will be carrying other cars too. Will have 8 of those Oil Tanker cars, 10 of those Double trailer stacked cars or Rolling stock cars as you call them.. So a Total of 38 Rolling Stock cars wil be on my inventory that whoever is doing this scenerio will be hauling with them.

Once In Grants Pass I or whoever the train driver is will drop the rolling stock Freight cars with the Tomatoes & Tropcial Fruit at the back of the warehouse & head back to train yard at Grants Pass & unhook from the other cars & then mission or scenerio will be completed..

The Train Driver has a 5 hour Window to get the fruit to the Destination or Scenerio fails because you didn't meet your objective..

Or if you think of something else to make it fun too feel free to add too it but you all know how to do these scenerios I don't so please help me by building that much.. I just been getting this in my mind that when I get my Railworks I want something where I have to deliver something & drop it off in back of a warehouse for them too offload the merchandise I bring them.. I thought Fruit & Vegetables like Tomatoes sounded like a pretty cool thing to have to deliver to a warehouse..

Umm, you might want to wait till you actually get RailWorks before you "request" things like scenarios and stuff. K?

Why's that I plan on getting it.. I figured if I plan ahead, the scenerio be ready & waiting when i load up the game I can then load up the scenerio. Plus besides others might want to do the same scenerio.. :)

The only thing is scenerio designers out there I haven't thought of a name for the warehouse or what warehouse to drop the Tomatoes & Tropical fruit off yet, If you know of a warehouse out that way or can think of it by all means use it..

See I got the idea sort of from my Mom's work & she works at a warehouse were they get King Arthor Flower & They also get Pizza Sauce on rail cars.. Thats what gave me partial of the idea for dropping a car or two off at a warehouse except my idea were dropping Tomatoes & Tropical Fruit..

Now we just need a name for a warehouse that were going to deliver the Tomatoes & Tropical Fruit too..

Ok, just to let you know. RailWorks does not have the entire rail network in it. It has routes, like Cajon Pass, or CSX Mainline. You can't hop into a train and drive from New York to San Fransisco. So as of right now, I don't know of any route that goes from Fresno California to Grants Pass in Oregon, you're more than welcome to create that route, however I'd say you're looking at about 510 miles of tracks.

Not to be insulting, but route and scenario creation takes a lot of time and work. And, if it's a 510 mile route, like Shortliner said, that could well take a year. An intense amount of work. Rolling stock, rails, bridges, scenery, buildings, crossings, roads. !*hp*! For someone to do all of that, I hope you wouldn't want it for free. Seriously, buy RW and learn how to create your own routes. !!*ok*!!

There are already hundreds of routes and scenarios in Railworks or as third party add-on's (DLC) that will let you take a mixed consist and pickup or drop off cargo at different places. Some scenarios, all you do is shunt cars, so there is more likely than not something that will fit the bill for what you want to do.
