Same problem here it has been 5 hours and it still will not download for me.
Seems like its not a server issue because I've downloaded other things (TS2013 to re-install, workshop scenarios, etc) Give it till the end of today before I contact Steam. Worst case scenario I guess I open a dispute with my credit card company. Never had an issue like this before. It's my opinion that RSC should seriously consider a different distribution platform; steam is sliding downhill.

I usually get over 600Kbps.

artimrj wrote:You know you guys need a little patience. You have all stated how slow the server is because of massive amounts of sales. Some of you could barely get anything ordered. Just play with something else until it all comes together for you. Reinstalling and verifying the cache is not helping, all it is doing is slowing the system down even further. All your doing now is making yourselves sick. If you got to buy it, it will be along as the system processes its orders. You wont be ripped off.
I'm just diappointed in Steam for their apparent lack of planning for the sale. But I'm sure a little hassle might be worth 60-80% off! As long as they make things right eventually.
MontanaRails wrote:Just for an FYI for those who might be reading this - the two DLC's that failed to download for me are the PRR RS11 and the AT&N Consolidation. So, you may want to avoid these two for the time being as well (or maybe it will work for you? Who knows.)
And I agree - if you have these issues DONT try to verify cache - its not going to help, and it's just going compound the issue.
