I will do the GP-38 as soon as I buy it. Hoping it will be in the sale if a sale starts soon.
I don't know what a SD40T-2 is. My point being is there a pack with one in it? Is it worth painting it over and above the default SD40-2 that I have completed?
Just a recap I have completed,
Default Stock SD40-2 #3478
Horseshoe Curve Route F7 #1940 and #1941 both A and B units.
GP9 Pack GP9 #9002 with a white roof and #9004 with a red roof
Donner Pass Route SW1500 in lieu of the SW2
SD75 Pack Woodchip Hopper in lieu of a Coal Hopper
I am adding a second SD40-2 by cloning the one I have painted and changing the number so any clarifying statements on this SD40T-2 need to be posted now.

The 8861 no longer has that paint scheme. Thats the old scheme but it has since been painted. Also the SD40T-2 is a "Tunnel Motor". I could be wrong but it was explained to me that the radiator grills are different because the engine is designed to cool itself better and is designed for heavy use in railroad tunnels.
