vR AlCo RS11. New Haven`s livery

Unread postby BlackJack » Wed Aug 28, 2013 11:31 am

Let me introduce you the New Haven railroads ALCo RS11 repaint.
The New Haven Railroad is a famous such named Fallen Flag company. It had 15 ALCo RS11 loco (road numbers 1400-1414).
This is repainting of virtual Railroads Alco RS-11 Lehigh Valley addon (http://www.virtual-railroads.de/locomot ... -rs11.html)
The repaint based on real RS11`s livery (http://www.trainweb.org/willstrainart/Train_Art_files/New_Haven/nhrs11.gif &
link2)
I have tried to make repainting as similar to the original as possible.

This repaint will help to expand locomotive fleet on The Virtual New Haven Railroad :D

Thank you, I'm going to download it / check it out tonight! Gotta have more of these awesome units.

Any plans for other schemes or units? Why not post up here to the RA file library?

I ran this unit around VNH route tonight. Looks and runs great, thank you!

Can I suggest (if you have interest) auto-numbering since NH had 15 of these (assuming it exists in the model of course)?

Looking forward to any more units! Other great schemes not done already would by NYC, MEC, PRR, SP...

vR's version of model don't have dinamic number.

Thanks for that. I'd missed the PRR version obviously.

Sounds like I need to think about painting some of these other schemes if i have times....

BlackJack - Let me preface this by saying I know absolutely nothing about repainting so this is a serious question. How difficult would it be to create a couple extra textures with a few different road numbers? That way one could place several without repetition. I don't mind having a few extra folders in my Assets structure. The Lehigh Valley version has two road numbers, for example.
Thanks for listening!
Cheers, !*cheers*!

When I go to this download site it says sign up for free but then it takes you to a page that only allows a monthly subscription by credit card.No thanks.I'll repaint my own.

This whole thing is totally confusing to me. This appears to not be free unless I'm missing something. Is the repaint free? I can't find anything in filedropper.

The link no longer working, so you get the Filedropper home page.
If you want to upload and share files, you can register and get some file space depending on what you pay.
Confusingly, the free option costs $0.99/month.

It's like free speech: better read the fine lines before you get too excited.

BlackJack said he will upload his repaint to RWA, so it's all good.

Nice repaint, BTW.

Hi, everyone.
yes, repaint was deleted from filedropper.
I'm from Russia, and I can't understand, where and how I can place my RS11 repaint. And what else, I want to change repaint and try to use RSC's version of loco with dinamic numbers.
Please wait.

Go to RWA home page. Click on the File Library tab itself non of the choices below. The next screen has the uploader over on the right side. There is a tutorial about how to package the re-paint and instructions here in the section at the top of the page called Uploading Instructions.
