Anyone working on a Sd60E?
Posted: Tue Dec 11, 2012 5:58 pmI want to now beacuse Im working on a modern day horseshoe curve. I have sd60's to be a so called sd40e and a regular sd20-2. Just wanted to know would go great on my route.

The SD40E's started off as SD50. Since we don't have any SD50's yet, you could use the SD60, reduce the horsepower to 3,000, renumber the engines in the 6300 series and you'll have a stand-in SD40E.

You are correct, they have the NS designed, Brookville built safety cabs and are in the 6900 numbering series.
