Is there a model for AC44CW's available for RW? If not is anybody working on them?

Thanks

The Dash-9 pack is available on Steam.

But the Dash-9 is NOT an AC44Cw. Railworks has needed a true AC4400 since day one.

unfortunatly there is not a AC4400CW avalable for railworks at this time, the best you could get is a C44-9W painted up as a ac4400cw. as far as i know nobody has started making one but im shure we would probably see or hear something within a year?

If you had a 3d crafter or somethin then you could add a child object to the C44-9W to elongate the side panels. But the number boards would only work for SP, UP, and BNSF.

Here's an idea. Change the simulation of the ES44AC and change the cab to a Dash 9 cab. The ES44AC is really a AC4400CW with a 12-cylinder engine and the Dash 9 is the DC traction version of the AC4400CW. So with a different cab and engine you get the GE AC4400CW.

Doesnt work that way. The Dash 9 is more similar to an AC44 than an Evo is. Evos have many differing characteristics.

Then change the simulation of the Dash 9.

Again, there are external differences between the two as well. The AC44s have a large Inverter cabinet where the AC is on a Dash9.

The large inverter cabinate could be made by child objects and you would have to extend the handrails n' stuff lol but hopefully sometime in the near future RSC decides to make one.

The trucks are also different as well. I know the Dash-9 is not an AC44 but its pretty close and all we have at the moment.

Not on all Railroads. BNSF and UP use the same Hi-Ad trucks.

CSX, CP, and SP use(d) the hi-adhesion trucks as well.

Some of CSX's and CP's use steerable trucks, which look different from the regular/HiAd trucks.

This very well explains how much I know about model building. Can anybody build a model?
