Well, Finally dove into it. and everything went smooth. I followed the tutorial posted in the tutorials page. Edited only what I needed, and what was stated. I also made it so only 10 total numbered units are available. I go into Railworks Scenerio editor. Happy to see it show up in the list. However.. it's invisible.. What did I do wrong, or is there something I missed??

Come to find out, I didn't rename the GEO shape name, which once I did. Resulted in this.

I need to finish up the paint on a few more details, and also change the number colors as well, along with flipping the lettering on the Engineer's side.

Progress. Still need to edit a few more small details, and fix the number color, and it is set. I might move on and do a GP7, GP15, and GP38-2 as well as maybe a MOW caboose or two. Then it's onto building a route for these units, or just use the Portland Terminal route.

Thanks, I figured being my first repaint, I'd start off with something simple, and I must say, it came out pretty decent I think. I might add the yellow to the rear hood end as well though. However, how, or where does one change the font color and style for the numbers featured? I textured the number and primarynumber files, with no results.

I took a look at the templates I found for the GP7/9, GP15, and GP38-2 models, and they seem pretty simple enough to repaint. I do like that I can simply have one engine painted, and a numbering file, makes it less of a pain, and easy on the use of storage. in MSTS I'd have to actually do each number (3600 to 3609) unlike Railworks. That is probably a plus that I do enjoy. But I don't think I will ever leave MSTS behind.

Well, I can't dump MSTS just yet, I have two major packs I want to release, along with a route that I know a lot are interested in. :p

As for help. Well, there isn't much different that I can say, that I read in http://www.trainsim.com/vbts/showthread ... Reskinning

However, there are a few things I did different. I used notepad+ in order to do the text edits, works a lot easier, and faster than what they suggested to use, to edit the xml file. The other thing is, you must rename everything "SD40-2 Black" to "SD40-2 WMRC" for an example, in the file, and not just the three things mentioned. Though IIRC there was one thing I shouldn't have changed, and that was "black" for the numbers. Speaking of which, I think I just realized where to change the color of the numbers..

Anyways, also be sure to change the GEO file as well to reflect that of the name of the .bin file.

Overall, it went smoother than I thought it would.
