“... You have to crawl before you walk, walk before you run..."(Darrell Campbell)

So here's what I want to do:

Flatcar
Boxcar
Mech. Boxcar or Reefer
Gondola
Caboose(No idea which kind yet)

Basically replacing most of the default stuff.

As for locomotives:
ALCO BN C-636
SD70 (IC, Conrail and NS version)
Alco RSD15
EMD UP GP38-2
GE 70 Tonner

Route:
Unknown Shortline WIP

Would love to see the Alco as either freeware, or donationware the correct way, like how GreatNorthernor did it, option to download first for free and then to leave a donation. The community is very generous and I'm sure about everyone would leave a donation for a locomotive that they like.

Myself, I want to do mostly all steam power.

4,6,4 NYC Hudson
4,6,2 ATSF Pacific 3415
4,6,0 20th century Ten Wheeler
2,8,0 PRR Heavy Consolidation
4,4,0 American
4,10,2 ATSF Texas

Might have to learn blender instead of crafter because I can't center my wheel with 3DC :/.

Edit: blender gives me a SBHH message while trying to open.. :<

Edit2: Well my Computer teacher says I can signup for 3ds max to get a license for free for 3 years. Hopefully there's some tuts I can follow.

No idea on the Dash 7 yet. Redo the GP38 with the ts2012 features. SD70 is well..its personal.

Have some suggestions for the Dash 7?

Would anyone know if an open door boxcar is possible?

Also does anyone know where I can get dimensions for the Barber S2 Trucks?

I cannot say for certain, but I do not believe high nosed Dash-8's exist. I think that the last locomotives to receive the high-nose treatment were GP50's. The C39's and I think some of the C40's were set up with control stands towards the long hoods.

Also, no reason that just because someone, even RSC, has made a locomotive, you can't make it as well. Diversity is good - look at how many different people have made the same version of a locomotive for MSTS.

I'm not sure just exactly what you are referring to, but...

Ex-Southern GP50 - you can see the "SOUTHERN" lettering bleeding through on the side of the unit.

I can't post it because it is otherwise copyrighted, but there is a photo on RRPictureArchives by Anthony Paci of the inside of a C39-8 cab with the control stand set towards the long hood. Look it up, check it out!

BTW, back in the 90's, I had several photos of BQ23-7's in Seaboard Paint. The local switch crews used to park them in town quite often. One of the ugliest locomotives i've ever seen.

For the open box car door you can try the newer models on Golden Age of Railroading. The doors are child objects so you should be able to shift them over. The only thing I am not sure of is if the inside is textured.

Ok, I'm really willing to give this another shot. I'm thinking of an diesel engine that smokes a lot and starts like a old tractor.

Hint: It lives in the swamp.
