Amtrak F59PHI?

Unread postby randomguy65 » Sun May 13, 2012 9:16 pm

Hello All!

I have been searching the community for a while but can't find any new freeware Amtrak Content. As one of my favorite locos is the F59PHI (I grew up with em', still am actually.), why not? Google Sketchup (dead second is Blender) is the simplest 3d model program I've seen, and I must say its not that difficult. The only problem is, i have ZERO blue print/animation/scripting/shading (?) experience. I will need someone to help me with this *!question!* !!**sorry**!! *!lol!*

I can get the sounds, I live in Cali !**duh*!! and I see and hear em' all the time. An I can ask Youtubers permission to use the audio. (Have done this with a few people for sound edits, packs...etc.)

So, leave your thoughts below.

Oh and BTW, this will be FREEWARE. !!*ok*!!

Yea, I know its about signals, but its kind of a primer for the larger fish you need to fry which is this post:

You will not be able to export from SU to RW. You can export from Blender to RW, but I am told it has to be from an older version of Blender. The tutorials are written for 3D Crafter which is a fair inexpensive 3D modeling program and has an exporter plugin to RW which is pretty straight forward to use.

I for one would love to see the F59PHI because I need them for my route. Good luck !!*ok*!!

I would advise you to start first with modeling scenery and then advance up to something more difficult, such as locomotive building.

That's the same advise a friend gave me when I started modeling. Of course, I wanted to start building steam locomotives first but later came to the conclusion that I was getting nowhere fast and had to gain a little experience first.

CA isn't the only ones with these. Here in NC NCDOT owns at least 3 used on our state trains. Including the special Darth Vader unit.
