NM and NMC graphics files

Unread postby harryadkins » Tue Mar 06, 2012 12:04 am

Does anyone know how the _NM.tgpcx and _NMC.tgpcx graphics files are used in Britkit models by Dick Cowan? They are similar to the standard tgpcx, but lacking some details. I've done a couple of repaints of the 40ft gondola and just copied the standard tgpcx and pasted it over the NM and NMC files. This seems to work.

I suspect they're the bumpmaps ( technically normal maps, as they don't actually add real bumps in RW ); I've gone on at length about them elsewhere several times, but there's a brief post here: viewtopic.php?p=24848#p24848

Which particular bit of stock?

I'm working with the 40ft gondola. My photo reskins have worked well with the same technique.

They are indeed normal maps. The engine will get very confused at times if you put your diffuse texture in there.
